Mike Heuer is a longtime journalist and freelance writer with a bachelor’s in print media journalism and a master’s in public relations from Michigan State University. He recently lived in and reported on events, court proceedings and legal news in Las Vegas and statewide throughout Nevada.
Mike is an avid fisherman, motorcyclist, and guitar hobbyist who enjoys kayaking, attending musical events, and wagering on college and NFL football. Mike also is a Civil War and military history buff who enjoys a good read. As a longtime journalist, he has covered numerous topics over the years and is especially adept at legal and political reporting. He has worked as a communications specialist in the Michigan House of Representatives and senior writer for Michigan Senate Majority Communications.
