Anthony Joshua has been told he won’t be facing the most naturally talented member of one of Britain’s finest fighting families when he meets Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium next month.

Although she is convinced her brother will beat Joshua to retain his IBF heavyweight crown, Caroline Dubois claimed to be a more hardwired boxer than her older sibling after placing herself on a collision course with the legendary Katie Taylor.

Caroline, who holds the IBO lightweight title, added the WBC interim belt to her collection by beating Maira Moneo earlier this month.

The Most Naturally Gifted Dubois Sibling

Despite being adamant Daniel possesses both the skills and the power to overcome Joshua, the 23-year-old grinned: “I took to boxing better than all of my other brothers and sisters.

“One hundred percent, I’m the most natural in the family because I was the only one who actually asked to box,” she told SportsBoom.com.

“I did it because, being a girl, I wanted to be noticed. I wanted to show that we could do it too.”

“We’re all there for each other and will do whatever it takes. But, definitely, I reckon I’m the one who picked it up the easiest because I actually asked to do it.”

“There’s no comparison between us, though,” added Caroline, whose brothers Prince and Solomon also box.

“We are all on our own different journeys, so I don’t like doing that - saying who is the best - because there’s no point to it and doesn’t make any sense.”

“What I will do, though, is say that we are there for each other. Always.”

Katie Taylor’s Mandatory Challenger

Aged 26, Daniel is the up-and-coming force in his division after recording notable victories over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic on Riyadh Season shows. The latter saw him upgraded to full champion when former undisputed king and Tyson Fury conqueror Oleksandr Usyk elected to vacate the IBF strap rather than endanger the possibility of a second bout against the Gypsy King.

Caroline became Katie Taylor’s mandatory challenger following a statement win of her own - outpointing Moneo in emphatic fashion at Oakwell.

Regarded as one of the toughest competitors on the women’s’ circuit, the Uruguayan cut a forlorn figure after being knocked down in the sixth round of a one-sided contest.

The triumph, on the undercard of Callum Simpson’s British and Commonwealth clash with Zak Chelli, stretched Caroline’s unbeaten professional record to 10.

Taylor, a legendary figure in the sport, has not defended her WBC title since 2022 and must now either agree to face the Greenwich fighter or vacate.

The Rising Star of Women’s Boxing

Caroline, who famously pretended to be a boy named Colin when she first took up boxing, said: “Katie Taylor is obviously the biggest name out there. But luckily there’s so many other big names out there too: Alycia Baumgardner, Rhiannon Dixon, Terri Harper and Beatriz Ferreira.”

I’m not going to go chasing anyone. I just want to be involved in a sold-out fight and a headliner.
