The leg spinner has now played over 450 T20 matches in his career and he’s still only 26. They have produced 622 wickets at the time of writing, but he’ll have to also lead the team, bat in the lower-middle order and field in the key positions; so, he’ll certainly have his hands full.

Rassie van de Dussen

The right-hander plays all forms of cricket and has had plenty of joy in the shortest format, averaging 36 with a healthy strike rate of 131 that includes five centuries, so he certainly knows his way around a T20 innings.

Kagiso Rabada

Alongside Jasprit Bumrah the best fast bowler in the world, Rabada has been getting better and better every year throughout his career and in addition to taking plenty of wickets, he keeps the runs down and can occasionally provide some fireworks with the bat.

Top Batsman for both teams

Devon Conway to be Super Kings Top Batsman

The New Zealand left-hander has had some decent success in the IPL and for his country over the years, testament to how prolific he can be on his day as a batsman who picks and chooses when to attack and when to accumulate runs. The fact he opens is always also an advantage.

Rassie van der Dussen to be MI Cape Town Top Batsman

A batsman cut from the same cloth as Conway, van der Dussen also has a cool head, and additionally, bundles of experience in playing in South African conditions. Batting in the Top 3 ensures he’ll face plenty of deliveries so enough time to post a big score if he gets in.

Suggested Bets

Time to move onto some cricket betting insights as to who can be some of the star performers in this match. Remember that one of the most important cricket betting strategies is to always get the best odds on whatever you’re betting on so always remember to check all the reliable bookmakers for betting and see if you can secure the biggest odds of all at one of them, as it makes a huge difference in the long run.

  1. Kagiso Rabada to be MI Cape Town Top Bowler: Rabada just had that knack of picking up wickets from nowhere and as a result, has one of the best strike rates in the game. The fact he’ll bowl in the death overs also helps matters as that’s when wickets tend to fall the most.

  2. Tabraiz Shamsi to be Super Kings Top Bowler: Shamsi’s left arm leg spin has caused bowlers problems the world over as his strike rate demonstrates. He’s an attacking bowler who always targets the stumps, so brings plenty of methods of dismissal into play, part of the reason why he’s such a dangerman.

Value Bets

Remember that when playing at the best cricket betting sportsbooks, there are plenty of markets to bet on beyond the most obvious ones.  Here are some bets you can place on side markets at the best betting sites for cricket.

  1. David Wiese to be Player of the match: Few players have been around for as long as Wiese but he’s one of those who seems to get better with age.  He’s also a player for the big moments so a couple of key wickets or a cameo with the bat can put him in contention to be Player of the Match.

  2. Azmatullah Omarzai to be Player of the Match: If you think Cape Town can win the match instead, then Omarzai is another who can deliver with both bat and ball in any situation and has picked up plenty of these awards in the past, so another good all-round performance, and he’ll come close.

Joburg Super Kings vs MI Cape Town: Super Kings to Win

As we know, these two are tied 2-2 on the head-to-head after four games so that doesn’t give us a clue about who can win it. But the Super kings have been more consistent in general terms over the first two editions and though Cape Town arguably have more star players, Super Kings are more of a team with players having fixed roles that work, so they get the nod for that reason, and are the bet at the best betting sites for cricket.
