Milestones in T20 cricket are arguably overrated. This is because in a format, that demands batters to go after the bowlers, the focus is all on getting runs quickly and hence the value of the wicket becomes much less. Sometimes in T20 format, even a 10-run cameo is more valuable than a half-century and this in itself speaks of the kind of things that happen in the format.

While most of the batters are power-hitters in T20 cricket, there are various consistent players as well. They have played the anchor role to perfection and made sure that they stayed there till the very end to take the team to the competitive total. This has allowed batters to achieve various milestones as well. Be it power-hitters or anchors, the first step in T20 cricket is 1000 runs and in this piece, we take a look at who is the fastest to score this many runs.
