The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has produced many brilliant moments over the years. We’re not just talking about bowlers picking up plenty of wickets or batters racking up big scores at the crease. No, the wicketkeeper has also played a vital role behind the stumps. Their quick thinking and razor-sharp skills have helped their sides out of some sticky situations.
This page contains the freshest stats on the wicketkeepers with the most dismissals in the competition’s history. Through our updated records, we have also shone the spotlight on some of their achievements.

1. Mohammad Rizwan (83 Dismissals)
Mohammad Rizwan leads the way on this list with an incredible 83 dismissals, of which 68 of those have been catches. He enjoyed an outstanding season in 2021 with 20 dismissals which remains a record for a PSL season. Also, he is a multiple winner of the PSL Imtiaz Ahmed Award, a prize handed out to the best wicketkeeper for each tournament edition.
Not only that, but Rizwan, who guided to the Multan Sultans to victory in 2021, has been one of the PSL’s highest run scorers in the competition’s history. He has over 2,000 runs to his name (2,403), making him the top scoring wicketkeeper in the PSL.
Mohammad Rizwan is the only wicketkeeper to pick up the PSL Imtiaz Ahmed Award three years on the trot, something he managed between 2021 and 2023.
2. Kamran Akmal (62 Dismissals)
One of the most agile wicketkeepers in the PSL, Kamran Akmal has been a consistent performer for the Peshawar Zalmi and one of the biggest stars for the franchise.
With 62 dismissals to his name, Akmal has also flourished with the bat. He has struck 89 sixes with only Asif Ali (90) and Fakhar Zaman (104) launching it out of the park more often.
Akmal who has also scored one of the fastest fifties in PSL history, was the 2017 recipient of the Imtiaz Ahmed Award with 12 dismissals.
3. Sarfaraz Ahmed (56 Dismissals)
Although he recently parted ways with the Quetta Gladiators after a nine-year association with them, Sarfaraz Ahmed captained the side for several years.
Of his 56 dismissals, 13 of these have been via stumpings (13) with only Rizwan claiming more (15).
Ahmed was a key part of Quetta’s 2019 PSL triumph, and he has contributed 1525 runs during his PSL career with 7 half-centuries in the competition. He’s a big character and he has a big heart too.
4. Ben Dunk (25 Dismissals)
Coming in fourth on this list is Ben Dunk, and after beginning his career with the Karachi Kings, he hit the ground running when he made the switch to the Lahore Qalanders.
Dunk claimed 9 dismissals during the 2020 season, all of which were catches, and he has plenty of shots in his locker. His best return is an unbeaten knock of 99 and he scored 596 runs in the PSL.
5. Azam Khan (24 Dismissals)
Just behind Dunk is Azam Khan. Signed by Islamabad United for the 2022 Draft, Khan became known for his aggressive batting and being quick with his reflexes behind the stumps.
A part of the side that won the 2024 PSL, Khan took one catch in the final and scored 30 off 22 before departing when Rizwan caught him behind.
Khan’s highest score in the PSL arena stands at 97, but he has scored 1140 runs to date. Not only that, but he has notched up 6 half-centuries which underlines his batting credentials.
6. Luke Ronchi (22 Dismissals)
Luke Ronchi may have only spent three seasons at Islamabad United, but he made a significant impact. He claimed 22 victims behind the stumps and he picked up the most dismissals with 11 in 2019.
Not only that, but Ronchi, who played T20s for New Zealand, was an explosive batsman. He wound up with 1,020 runs, carving one of the quickest half-centuries in the tournament’s history.
Ronchi was a T20 star racking up 10 half-centuries and he made a mark on the PSL.
7. Kumar Sangakkara (20 Dismissals)
While he is perhaps more fondly remembered for his achievements at Test and ODI level with Sri Lanka, Kumar Sangakkara played for 3 different sides in the PSL.
His career saw him turn out for the Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, and Quetta Gladiators, but at Quetta, his batting skills came to the fore.
He was a wonderful player, and in the PSL, he scored 613 runs in 24 matches. At the Sultans, he shone behind the stumps in the 2018 season with 10 dismissals.
8. Mohammad Haris (14 Dismissals)
Nicknamed ‘Mr Google’ for his quick thinking, Mohammad Haris is a dynamic batter and wicketkeeper.
Haris has claimed 14 dismissals, but he has also shown promise with the bat for Peshawar Zalmi. Yes, 658 runs scored with a strike rate of 171.35 represents a decent return, although he’s yet to reach a century.
He’ll be 24 when the PSL rolls around, so he’s still got time under his belt, and he could be one to watch out for.
9. Sam Billings (13 Dismissals)
With plenty of experience across multiple franchise leagues, Sam Billings turned out for Islamabad United and Lahore Qalanders in the PSL. In 2023, he was on fire for the Qalanders with 11 dismissals.
The Englishman, who has represented his country in all formats of the game, recently became the 33rd overseas player to register for the 2025 PSL Draft. Although he has a modest average of just over 25 with the bat, his highest score is 78 not out.
Energetic and inventive, Billings usually puts bums on seats, and it will be fascinating to see how he gets on this season.
10. Chadwick Walton (13 Dismissals)
Wrapping up this list is the West Indian top-order batter Chadwick Walton. He played a supporting role in Karachi Kings’ successful Championship run, and in the 2020 PSL final, he fired 22 runs from 27 deliveries en route to a 5-wicket win over Lahore Qalanders.
Of his 3 seasons in the PSL, Walton was at Islamabad United for a single campaign. He took 11 catches and 2 stumpings in the PSL, managing 451 runs with the bat an average of just over 28.
