The West Indies and England are the two most successful teams in the T20 World Cup, having won two titles each. India won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007.
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, beginning on June 2, will be the ninth edition of the tournament that was first played in 2007. Only two teams have managed to secure victory in the T20 World Cup more than once: the West Indies and England, with both teams clinching the prestigious title twice.

2007: India
The inaugural T20 World Cup held in 2007 in South Africa marked the dawn of a new era in cricket. In a thrilling final, India emerged victorious, defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by just five runs.
