Luke Littler Ranks Viral Angry Ginge ‘Big Fish’ Moment Above Premier League Glory
Luke Littler clinched his first Premier League nightly win but joked that his 170 checkout on Angry Ginge’s Twitch stream felt bigger than the one that helped secure his £15K victory in Belfast.

Teenage sensation Luke Littler reinforced his dominance in the Premier League, securing his first nightly win in Glasgow with a dramatic 6-5 victory over rival Luke Humphries.
The best-of-nine final had no shortage of talking points, despite both players delivering performances below their usual high standards.
Humphries uncharacteristically failed to average over 100, in part due to a disruptive Scottish crowd that persistently whistled during his throws—a distraction that also appeared to impact Littler’s game.
Whistling from the Crowd
Addressing the issue in the post-match press conference, the 18-year-old suggested that referee Kirk Bevins may have unintentionally made matters worse by instructing the crowd to stay quiet.
When asked if the PDC or venues could take further action to curb such behaviour—or if he might consider using earbuds as a solution, the reigning world champion made his stance clear.
“Probably not because I just love the crowd.”
“We all know, we’ve been here a long time. The fans are drinking or whatever they want to do. It’s been a long night for them, and it’s been a long night for us. We just need to focus and play darts,” he told SportsBoom.com.
£15K on Sky Sports or Viral Glory on Twitch?
Despite the challenges, the 18-year-old still produced a moment of magic, landing the game’s biggest checkout—a stunning 170 finish.
Post-match, he admitted it felt particularly satisfying, as he hadn't hit one in a televised tournament for some time. However, it wasn’t his first ‘big fish’ of the week.
Earlier, during an online practice session on Twitch with his friend and social media personality Angry Ginge, Littler hit another 170 in front of the influencer’s 1.2 million followers.
When asked which checkout felt more significant—his £15,000-winning effort in front of a packed Glasgow crowd on Sky Sports or the one streamed live to Morgan Burtwistle’s audience—Littler delivered a humorous response.
“I think more people were watching Angry Ginge’s stream, so that one.”
While his answer may have raised eyebrows, it’s a testament to Littler’s growing appeal beyond traditional darts audiences.
His ability to entertain—both on the oche and online—ensures his rise remains one of the sport’s most exciting stories.
