Thoughts on Current Super Eagles Squad

Pascal's enthusiasm and praise for the Super Eagles squad highlight their potential for success and the importance of national support.

"The current Super Eagles squad is impressive. Their youthful energy and consistent performances for their respective clubs are commendable. The only missing piece is the unwavering support from Nigerians back home.

"In my opinion, this team ranks among the best globally, boasting exceptional team spirit, bonding, dedication, and a passion to represent their country. Working with such talented and motivated players is exhilarating.

"They are one of the best teams in the world," said Pascal.

Pascal said football has evolved from passion to profession: "Football has undergone a significant transformation since my playing days. Back then, we played for the love of the game, driven by passion and a desire to excel. Today, the landscape has changed dramatically – football is now a multibillion-dollar industry.

"We played with our hearts, fueled by a genuine love for the game with limited financial rewards. Only a select few earned substantial income. In today's game, financial gain has become a primary motivator and  a career path, with increased focus on technical skills.

Super Eagles Chances Against in AFCON Qualifiers

The Super Eagles will face Benin Republic on November 14 and Rwanda on November 18 in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers and the team's chances are looking bright with only one point needed to qualify.

"Pascal said they're not taking anything for granted and are going all out to secure the six maximum points. Coach Augustine Eguavoen has assembled a formidable squad, I believed they're poised to secure the six maximum points and seal their spot in the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

"However, as you said, football is unpredictable, and anything can happen on the pitch."

Impact NPFL on the Nation Team

Pascal emphasizes the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL importance in developing the national team. With improvements in officiating, structure, and support, Nigeria's football future looks bright.

"The league is the backbone of every national team. Nigeria's progress is promising, but there's room for improvement. Fair refereeing is crucial for quality players and coaches and players like Ahmed Musa returning to the league boosts its reputation.

A well-organized league will attract top talent, boost confidence and success in continental competitions. He further said restructuring some aspect of the league need reform for positive impact.

"The fans are fanatical about football. They'll shower you with love and rewards if you perform well, but if you don't meet their expectations, be prepared for intense criticism. The Turkish league demands excellence. Players must be at their best to satisfy the passionate fans and ambitious clubs.
