Atletico Madrid play host to Osasuna at the Metropolitano Stadium, seeking to go back atop La Liga against a team that is winless in five games. Diego Simeone’s team are on a good run of form coming into this game, picking up three points casually and sitting comfortably in second place behind their cross-town rivals Real Madrid with one game in hand.

Overall, the hosts are currently one of the best teams in Europe based on form and will be looking to walk this game, although they got thrashed 4-1 the last time out against their visitors in the penultimate round of last season’s campaign. The latter’s fortunes this time around might just not be the same with a poor run of form despite being in the top ten.

  • Alexander Sorloth: A goal in his last two appearances coming on as a substitute, Sorloth’s confidence is up right now, and we predict that Simeone will give him a start in this game. He is a sure fit for a goal on the day.
