Getafe Current Form – WWWDW

Getafe come into this encounter with just the one slight blemish on their last five encounters. A simple analysis of their performance suggests that their defensive record is largely to thank for their positive showings.

Conceding just twice in their last five, they now rank amongst the upper echelons of La Liga in terms of defensive prowess. Notably their draw with Barcelona was something to take note of, their brave and committed approach to football has earned them many plaudits and we think a similar showing will be necessary to test Sevilla.

Key Players to Watch

  • Borja Mayoral: In a team which doesn’t give too many attacking opportunities, Mayoral has been crucial for Getafe. He is an attacking player who has made a habit of being able to convert even the smallest chances into goals. A real jackal in the final third, he will be one to watch here.
  • Carles Alena: A midfielder who has contributed defensively to the sound performances registered by Getafe, Alena has taken that forward to establish creativity which lends itself to their attacking outputs. He looks to drive his team forward and that will be important against a Sevilla side who might sacrifice space in the midfield.
  • Djene Dakonam: He has come back into this Getafe side with absolute ease and grace. He provides the stability Getafe requires – especially up front – but there is a doubt about how much service he will receive. Nevertheless, he enjoys contributing in the final third and Getafe would be hopeful of a positive showing.

Getafe Team News

Allan Nyom (knock) and Mauro Arambarri (knock) are both doubtful for this match.

Sevilla Current Form – LLDWD

Sevilla have won just once in their last five games. That came by way of Girona away, but with all the respect in the world, Sevilla have flattered to deceive all season long and just failed to kick on.

They find themselves in 12th position and desperate for points in La Liga. In truth, it is difficult to see how they improve on their most recent performances, but this is still a side littered with offensive talent (and that reflects in the La Liga betting around Sevilla) and the capabilities of registering positive performances.

Key Players to Watch

  • Dodi Lukebakio: Lukebakio has seemingly been the sole source of Sevilla’s attacking threat during this La Liga season. The attacking ace has netted nine times for his club and together with his direct and physical approach in the final third, he has displayed impressive pace out wide.
  • Saul Niguez: Niguez has been impressive for Sevilla in the middle of the field. He is a strong player in the middle of the field, but his creativity is what has been most important for Sevilla. Contributing with four assists, he allows for his side to turn defence into attack and drive up the field. Sevilla will certainly be hopeful he continues to be a key player to watch.
  • Jose Angel Carmona: He just continues to be a breath of fresh air for this Sevilla side. Contributing to their attacking threats out wide, he is a player who gets up and down the pitch with such ease. Defensively, he tops the charts with successful tackles made per 90 minutes, interceptions and blocks.

Sevilla Team News

Tanguy Nianzou (hamstring strain) and Valentin Barco (muscle injury) are injury doubts.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Getafe: 4-2-3-1

Soria, Iglesias, Duarte, Alderete, Rico, Djene, Milla, Sola, Uche, Da Costa, Yildirim.

  2. Sevilla: 4-3-3

Nyland, Carmona, Gudelj, Bade, Sanchez, Niguez, Lokonga, Sow, Vargas, Peque, Lukebakio.

Suggested Bets

The suggested bets for this La Liga encounter are carefully selected to maximize value. For those interested in online football betting, these picks provide a solid foundation for making informed wagers.

  1. Getafe/Draw: The hosts are playing really impressive football at the moment. They are lethal going forward, but their defensive attributes have been the reason for much of their early success. 7/20 (1.35) with 1xBet and Betway.

  2. Under 2.5 Goals: Two teams who don’t exactly boast the strongest attacking players meet. You have to add the fact that arguably the stronger side has a more robust and complete defensive system... 11/10 (2.1) with 1xBet and Betway.

  3. Getafe (Win/Draw) + Under 2.5 Goals: For maximum value, combine these two betting options with your favourite La Liga sportsbook. 5/2 (3.5) with Stake and 1xBet.

Value Bets

  1. Both Teams to Score (No): The value around this betting suggestion is crazy, especially considering the defensive attributes of these two teams. 6/10 (1.6) with Pinnacle and Betway.

  2. Draw No Bet (Getafe): With the added security of no risk with a draw, back the hosts here. Get on at 33/50 (1.66) with Betway.

  3. Getafe + Both Teams to Score (No): For the brave punter among us, back the hosts to claim all three points whilst also maintaining a clean sheet. The combination of Getafe to win and both teams failing to score is simply too good to let slip! 9/4 (3.25) with 1xBet and Stake.

Prediction: Getafe Win/Draw Double Chance

There isn’t too much to split these two teams. Sevilla is a side with quality players littered all over the field – there is no denying it. However, the balance at Getafe makes them a tough team to beat. They carry a threat in the final third but are incredibly compact and difficult to break down.

Anyway, our Getafe vs Sevilla preview points in just one direction - Back the hosts!
