You can find the best odds and betting markets for Real Madrid vs. Sevilla at our top-rated sportsbooks.

Real are on a decent run of form after securing back-to-back away wins at Girona in the league and Atalanta in the Champions League but could only manage a thrilling 3-3 draw at Rayo Vallecano last weekend. So, they will want to get back on track here against a Sevilla side who are fresh from a 1-0 win over Vigo last weekend but who will want to climb further up the table over the next few weeks.

  3. 27/05/2023: Sevilla 1-2 Real Madrid

Home Team Current Form – WWLWD

Real have kept pace with Atletico and Barcelona on the back of a decent last month or so where they took 10 points off a possible 15, though admittedly the teams they beat in that period – Leganes, Getafe and Girona – aren’t that high up in the table.

They could only manage a 3-3 draw at the weekend in a match where they were without the injured Kylian Mbappe, while Vinicius Jr started on the bench. Jude Bellingham was in the goals again but having gone 3-2 up, they conceded with half an hour to go and that’s how it stayed.

Key Players to Watch

  • Vinicius Jr - The Brazilian forward started on the bench at the weekend after scoring in midweek against Atalanta so should be fresh, raring to go and keen to add to his 13 goals for the season.
  • Luka Modric - His best days may be past him at 39 but the Croatian midfield maestro still has it in him to completely dominate a game with his crisp passing and vision.
  • Antonio Rudiger - The former Chelsea man carries on showing his class in the heart of the Real defence with great positioning and composure, also sometimes starting Real’s attacks from the back.

Home Team News

All of David Alaba, Daniel Carvajal, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Kylian Mbappe are out injured for this one. There are no suspensions, but Modric would be suspended for the next game if he picks up another yellow card here.

Away Team Current Form – LWDLW

It’s been something of a mixed bag for Sevilla over the last few weeks with two wins, two defeats and a draw, which has been somewhat typical of their inconsistent season.  One worrying aspect of their last few matches has been their inability to keep clean sheets with just one in their last seven across all competitions.

Key Players to Watch

  • Jesus Navas - The 39-year-old may have lost his pace somewhat over the years but his crossing and runs down the right are still a key element of Sevilla’s gameplan.
  • Kelechi Iheanacho - The former Manchester City and Leicester striker hasn’t had it all his own way this season with just three goals in the Cup to show for his efforts. But when he starts finding his feet, he’ll be a dangerous player for Sevilla.
  • Djibril Sow - The Swiss midfielder has been almost ever-present in Sevilla’s midfield with all-action displays that include protecting the back four and making the odd run forward when given the chance.

Away Team News

Tanguy Nianzow and Chidera Ejuke both miss the match through injury and are likely to be out for a few more matches, but there are no suspended players.

Predicted Line-Ups

  1. Real Madrid- 4-3-3

Courtois, Tchouameni, Vazquez, Garcia, Rudiger, Modric, Valverde, Camavinga, Ceballos, Rodrygo, Vinicius.

  2. Sevilla- 4-3-3

Fernandez, Salas, Montiel, Bade, Gudelj, Niguez, Agoume, Bueno, Ihenacho, Lukebakio, Navas.

Suggested Bets

And now to our Real Madrid v Sevilla predictions ahead of this big match in La Liga.

  1. Over 2.5 Goals - This has been a high-scoring fixture over the years when played in Madrid with the last five ending 1-0, 3-1, 2-1, 2-2 and 2-1 so we can expect at least three goals in the match again. (19/40 with Betway).

  2. Jude Bellingham Anytime Scorer – Bellingham has now scored in all of his last five matches after a somewhat slow start to the season. When he gets going, he’s hard to stop and could be on the scoresheet here once again. (3/2 with 1Win)

Value Bets

  1. 3-1 to Real on the correct score market - Real should be too strong for Sevilla here, who have really struggled to keep the goals out in recent weeks. But Real keep very few clean sheets themselves and we know this is historically a match with plenty of goals, so 3-1 could be a lively runner. (9/1 with Betway)

  2. Vinicius Jr to be First Goalscorer - The likely absence of Mbappe means extra responsibility for Vinicius here, who will have to step up his game with the brilliant Frenchman on the sidelines. That includes talking penalties in his absence, so you’ll get a good run for your money here. (47/25 with 1Win)

Prediction: Real Madrid to Win and Both Teams to Score

Real haven’t had it all their own way this season but they’ve struggled more in Europe than they have in La Liga where they’ve been in pretty impressive form and are very much in the title race. The likely absence of Mbappe is a blow but then again, the recent goalscoring form of Bellingham has been a big boost while Vinicius has been his consistent self as well; Modric still manages to keep it all together despite being almost 40.

This is a fixture that Real have dominated in recent years with 14 wins in this fixture from the last 15, an incredible record.  In nine of those 14 wins, Sevilla scored at least once though so the smart money is on a home win with Sevilla scoring one or more goals. (17/10 with Betway).
