Arteta’s side have been struggling with injuries lately and it has shown in their last five results. Just two wins, a loss, and two draws have seen them lose ground to league leaders Liverpool. The Emirates has been a fortress this campaign, however, and could help their cause against Fulham.

Key Players to watch
- William Saliba: The French centre-back is a stalwart defender in the Arsenal backline. Saliba is calm and has the ability to read the game to an elite level, making him one of the best defenders in the league.
- Leandro Trossard: The Belgian has stepped up in Bukayo Saka’s absence. Trossard has been sublime and can play across the front-three for Arteta’s team, making it extra difficult to prepare for the forward.
- Myles Lewis-Skelly: The academy graduate has burst onto the scene and looks like a ready-made Premier League player. The 18-year-old recently made his debut for England and scored to become the youngest Three Lions player to record the feat on debut for their country.
Arsenal Team News
Gabriel Martinelli picked up a hamstring injury in the EFL Cup defeat to Newcastle and joins long-term absentees Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz (both hamstring injuries), as well as Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus who both suffered knee injuries. Riccardo Calafiori is a doubt after suffering a knee injury on international duty and Jurrien Timber has illness and is touch and go for the tie.
Fulham Current Form – WLWLW
Silva’s side have been taking one step forward, and one step back over their previous five games. They do have three victories in that period, but the two losses have dampened their chase for a European spot.
Key Players to watch
- Emile Smith Rowe: The former Arsenal number 10 has been excellent for Fulham in his debut season. He has managed to shrug off his injury woes and has made 2 Premier League appearances this season. Smith Rowe has five goals and two assists for Silva’s side.
- Raul Jiminez: The Mexican forward has been one of Fulham’s best performers this campaign. The 33-year-old has 10 goals and three assists to his name.
- Antonee Robinson: Only one player in the Premier League has more assists than Antonee Robinson, and that is Mohamed Salah. The American fullback has been impressive down the left flank for the Cottagers.
Fulham Team News
Fulham have a few injuries to contest with. Reiss Nelson has a hamstring strain, Kenny Tete is nursing a knee injury while Harry Wilson has a foot issue. Antonee Robinson suffered a knock but should be fit for the tie with the Gunners.
Predicted Line-Ups
Arsenal (4-3-3): Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Nwaneri, Merino, Trossard
Fulham: 4-2-3-1: Leno, Castagne, J. Anderson, Bassey, Robinson, Berge, Lukic, Adama, Iwobi, Smith-Rowe; Jiménez
