For Ipswich, it really is do or die – although in truth, it might be a little late for that already. Kieran McKenna has done a superb job with the Tractor Boys, but their results just haven’t been able to match up.

Bournemouth Current Form – WLLDL

Bournemouth have played well in recent weeks – but in fairness, their results haven’t matched up to their performances. They attack with confidence and pace, looking to take advantage of space after disrupting the defensive system of their opponents.

Their game against Tottenham and then Brentford probably should have seen them come away with more – but as the adage goes, football isn’t played on paper. Ipswich are going to be fighting to avoid relegation at all costs and so the hosts know they must come into this game with their ruthless aggression.

Key Players to Watch

Dean Huijsen
As a youngster, Huijsen has quickly become a defensive stalwart. His maturity and leadership are simply beyond his years. It should come as no surprise that big clubs around Europe are beginning to follow his career.

Justin Kluivert
The Dutch forward has been pivotal in Bournemouth’s attack this season. Leading the line for the Cherries in the league, his consistent contributions and offensive ability has been instrumental in the success of Bournemouth.

Antoine Semenyo
As a forward, this is arguably his best goal-scoring season. His ability to use both feet, play with a degree of physicality and bring an effectiveness in the final third. He will be one to watch here for sure.

Bournemouth Team News

Bournemouth will likely be without Adam Smith who is nursing a calf injury, while Enes Unal (cruciate ligament injury), Julian Araujo (hamstring injury) and Marcos Senesi, who has a thigh injury, all make up the remainder of the list of absentees.

Ipswich Town Current Form – DLLLL

The Tractor Boys are in desperate need of a win. We say this every week about Kieran McKenna’s side, but time is certainly running out now. This game is giving off the idea of now or never for Ipswich if they want to survive the relegation drop.
The reality is they haven’t won a game all year and for all the money in the world – they look set to rejoin the Championship.

Key Players to Watch

Conor Chaplin
An attacking midfielder who has been at the forefront of most of Ipswich’s play this season. He has been a standout player for the visitors, and if they have any hope of staying up, he will have a big role to play here.

Liam Delap
The young forward has continued to impress at Ipswich this season. Scoring for fun and attracting the attention of most clubs around Europe. Thomas Tuchel has even included the youngster in his training camp.

Leif Davis
The left-back has been incredibly consistent for Ipswich this season. Incredibly, he has pretty much registered a performance for every minute played in the Premier League so far!

Ipswich Town Team News

Ipswich have struggled to keep their starting eleven fit this season and with the likes of Axel Tuanzebe struggling with a hamstring strain, Wes Burns negotiating a cruciate ligament injury and Chiedozie Ogbene struggling with his Achilles tendon – McKenna will no doubt be forced into a few further changes.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Bournemouth: 4-2-3-1
Arrizabalaga, Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez, Christie, Adams, Tavernier, Kluivert, Semenyo, Evanilson.

  2. Ipswich: 4-2-3-1
Palmer, O’Shea, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis, Phillips, Cajuste, Philogene, Hutchinson, Enciso, Delap.
