Brentford vs Everton Preview: Odds, Tips and Prediction

Date: February 26, 2025 Kickoff Time: 19:30 (UK Time) Venue: Gtech Community Stadium Everton will count themselves unlucky after their 2-2 draw with Manchester United, which on its own is an incredible indictment of the job David Moyes has done. This was a side who were given no chance of survival just a few weeks ago by pretty much all football betting sites – yet here they are in 14th looking better each week. The Bees at home will always be an incredible challenge though – expect an enticing encounter to ensue.

Brentford Current Form – LWLWW

Brentford are a far better side when they play at home. They play with incredible confidence, creative prowess and attacking energy. They are happy to take the game to their opponents, and in front of their home fans, it is a consistent aspect of their league season.

Thomas Frank would have been pleased with their demolition of Leicester City last time out – and given the fact that Everton might prioritize their shape and defensive system at the Gtech – expect most of the same by the Bees.

Key Players to Watch

  • Bryan Mbeumo: He is arguably enjoying the best season of his football career. At the time of writing, he has scored 14 goals this season, but his involvement in both their attacking and defensive aspects has been simply outstanding.
  • Yoane Wissa: Often having to take a lesser role in the media, Wissa has scored 12 goals in 23 outings and looks to just continue to grow in confidence. He adds to the Bees’ attacking brilliance as well as their physical threat in the final third.
  • Mikkel Damsgaard: As a versatile midfielder, he seems to keep his side ticking over. The pace at which Brentford attacks – often as a result of some patient and resolute defending, has been fantastic and given the Dane’s involvement, he is often at the head of it all. Keep an eye on him here.

Brentford Team News

Aaron Hickey (hamstring injury), Christian Norgaard (head injury), Gustavo Nunes (back injury) and Sepp van den Berg (knee injury) are all expected to miss the tie.

Everton Current Form – WLDWD

Everton come into this game with plenty of value around them getting results – which, in all honesty, is rather surprising. They are without some big names up front and whilst injuries to players like Iliman Ndiaye are massive blows – they still carry a considerable threat upfront.

Watching Everton play under David Moyes has been incredible. They play with confidence and belief and have been a brilliant example of the power those aspects carry in a football team.

Key Players to Watch

  • Beto: The Portuguese striker has found a new lease on life under David Moyes. He is becoming a goal-scoring machine and has scored some important goals for his side over the last few weeks. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him find the back of the net here (irrespective of our overall Brentford vs Everton prediction).
  • Carlos Alcaraz: Currently on loan at Goodison from Flamengo, and not to be confused with the current world number 2 tennis player, Alcaraz has greatly bolstered the midfield creativity at Everton and added to their attacking threat.
  • Jake O’Brien: How good has he been for Everton in defence?! He is enjoying a massive breakout season and given the turnaround being experienced at Everton, it isn’t outrageous to suggest that O’Brien has played a pivotal role for the Toffees.

Everton Team News

Armando Broja (Achilles tendon), Dominic Calver-Lewin (hamstring injury), Iliman Ndiaye (knee injury) and Seamus Coleman (thigh injury) are all on the treatment table.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Brentford, 4-2-3-1: Flekken, Lewis-Potter, Collins, Pinnock, Ajer, Norgaard, Janelt, Damsgaard, Mbeumo, Schade, Wissa.

  2. Everton, 4-2-3-1: Pickford, Mylolenko, Branthwaite, Tarkowski, O’Brien, Garner, Gueye, Harrison, Doucoure, Lindstrom, Beto.

Suggested Bets

Our suggested bets for those who want to bet on Premier League are listed below.

  1. Brentford (Win): Brentford are always strong at home; we think they are justified favourites here and are our pick to claim all three points  1/1 (2.0) with BetWinner

  2. Both Teams to Score (Yes): These two teams have seen Both Teams Score in the majority of their league engagements, and we don’t think that changes here. 15/20 (1.75) with Stake

  3. Brentford + Both Teams to Score (Yes): Back a combination with plenty of value. 33/20 (2.65) with Betway

Value Bets

  1. Yoane Wissa (Anytime Goal Scorer): He has been in exceptional form for Brentford, backing him to once again find the back of the net presents exceptional value.  23/20 (2.16) with Betway

  2. Halftime (Draw): A cagey start is likely to ensue here, leading to a stalemate at the half. There is plenty of value in a half-time draw so we suggest getting stuck in. 12/10 (2.2) with 1xBet

  3. Everton to Score First: The underdogs will be cautious, committed to their shape and aggressive when they get the chance to put pressure on the final third. Back this value option at 27/20 (2.7) with Pinnacle

Prediction: Brentford to Win

They have a perfect balance between their attacking threats, defensive confidence and home-ground advantage. The Bees are tipped to come away with the three points here, and given the value of the home win, we wouldn’t discourage you from going all in – Free Bets and all!
