Brighton and Hove Albion Current Form – WWLLW

The Seagulls have just two losses in their last five games. A shock one-nil defeat at home to Everton was followed up by a seven-nil thrashing at the hands of Nottingham Forest. Those defeats have put a dent in their charge for a European place but Hurzeler’s team are still in with a chance of qualifying. Their most recent win against Chelsea has put them right back in the running.

Key Players to watch

  • Danny Welbeck: The experienced 34-year-old has been ageing like fine wine. Welbeck has been a key cog for Brighton this season, linking up play and scoring goals. The former Manchester United academy graduate has ten goal contributions in 19 Premier League appearances this season.
  • Joao Pedro: The Brazilian forward is an exciting player to watch. His dynamism and decision-making in the final third have been sublime. The 23-year-old has five goals and five assists to his name in the league.
  • Kaoru Mitoma: Famous for writing a thesis on the art of dribbling, the Japanese is a handful to deal with for Premier League fullbacks. Mitoma has contributed six goals and three assists from the left flank this campaign.

Brighton Team News

The home team are dealing with a long list of injuries at this current moment. Igor Julio and James Milner are both sidelined with hamstring issues. Turkish left-back, Ferdi Kadioglu is dealing with a toe injury and Jason Steele is out with a shoulder problem. Pervis Estupinan, Solly March, and Yasin Ayari all have muscle issues. Mats Wieffer might be fit in time for the clash against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth Current Form – DWWLW

Andoni Iraola’s side have been one of the most in-form outfits in the league over the previous five games. The Cherries’ only defeat over this period came against Liverpool, losing two-nil to the log leaders. Bournemouth have been excellent this season and are just a single point off a Champions League place.

Key Players to watch

  • Justin Kluivert: Bournemouth’s leading contributor of goals and assists, Kluivert has been outstanding for his side. The Dutchman has 16 goal contributions in 23 Premier League games.
  • Antoine Semenyo: Antoine Semenyo really is a joy to watch. The winger can use both feet to an exceptional standard which makes him difficult to mark as he can go on the outside or inside of his fullback. A great weapon for Iraola on the flank.
  • Milos Kerkez: The 21-year-old has been sensational down the left flank for the Cherries. The Hungarian International has five goal contributions to show for his lung-busting runs on the overlap.

Bournemouth Team News

Just like the home team, Bournemouth also have a long list of injury concerns ahead of the clash. Enes Unal and Alex Scott remain unavailable due to knee injuries, while Marcos Senesi is sidelined with a thigh issue. Luis Sinisterra, Julian Araujo, and James Hill are all nursing hamstring problems. Adam Smith is dealing with a muscle injury, and Evanilson remains out with a foot problem.

Predicted Line-Ups

  1. Brighton (4-3-3): Verbruggen, Veltman, van Hecke, Lamptey, Dunk, Baleba, Hinshelwood, Minteh, Pedro, Mitoma, Welbeck

  2. Bournemouth (4-2-3-1): Arrizabalaga, Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez, Adams, Christie, Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo, Ouattara

Suggested Bets

This match offers a strong chance for high-scoring action, making it an ideal option to bet on football with valuable odds available.

  1. Both Teams to Score: Both teams know the way to the net and have very good attacking players in their ranks(53/100 with Betway)

  2. First Half Both Teams to Score: These have been two excellent teams in the league so far, so, expect them to come out flying out the blocks from the first minute. (13/5 with Stake)

Value Bets

  1. Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals: As mentioned earlier, with the talent on display, there could be fireworks at the Amex on Tuesday night. (18/25 with Betway)

  2. Double Chance and Both Teams to Score (Brighton/Draw and Yes): The Seagulls have been strong at home, but Bournemouth have been one of the form teams in the league. The Double Chance and Both Teams To Score is good value here. (27/25 with Stake)

Prediction: Draw and Both Teams to Score

This is going to be a tight affair at the Amex Stadium. Both teams have been solid this season. Hurzeler will be expecting a reaction from his side after the seven-nil drubbing to Forest last time out, while Iraola and co will want to get their challenge for a Champions League spot back on track. They could cancel each other out but both teams to score is also likely, considering the firepower in both ranks.
