Merseyside will be rocking as Everton host West Ham United in a crucial fixture that could be pivotal in both teams’ season. It has been a season of woes for both outfits. Their respective managers were sacked mid-season, and their new coaches - David Moyes returning to Everton and Graham Potter taking over at West Ham - have been tasked with steadying the ship.
It was a goalless draw last time these two met back in November but with just goal difference separating these two in the table, the points on offer will be fiercely contested at Goodison Park.

Everton Current Form – DWDDD
Moyes has started in excellent fashion in his second spell at Everton. The Merseyside club are unbeaten in their previous five fixtures and are a difficult team to beat, especially at home. Ideally, he will want his team to convert more of those draws into wins and they have the perfect opportunity to do so come Saturday afternoon.

Key Players to watch
- Vitalii Mykolenko: An ever-present figure in Everton’s backline, the Ukrainian is one of the best defensive fullbacks in the league and will be key in the run-in till May for his side.
- Beto: The Guinea-Bissau international has been leading the line well in Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s absence. The tall, lanky forward knits play together well and is a great target man for Everton’s long-ball threat.
- Abdoulaye Doucoure: The Frenchman does not stop running and is a key part of the Everton midfield. Doucoure has three goal contributions this season and has been vital in big games for his side.
Everton Team News
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the main absentee for Moyes’ side. Veteran Seamus Coleman is out with a muscle injury and Armando Broja has an ankle issue. Dwight McNeil, Orel Mangala, and Iliman Ndiaye are all out with knee problems.
West Ham Current Form – DLLWW
Over their previous five fixtures, Potter’s side have drawn once, lost twice and won twice. It is not great form that sees the London club hovering just above the relegation zone. Potter will want more from his side as they head into the run-in till May if they are to comfortably beat the drop.

Key Players to watch
- Jarrod Bowen: The England International has been the Irons’ best creative attacker. Bowen has six goals and four assists in 20 Premier League games, meaning he registers a goal contribution every two games.
- Mohammed Kudus: Explosive, direct and skilful, the Ghanaian is a defender’s nightmare to mark for 90 minutes. Kudus is one of the Hammers’ best players and the 24-year-old needs to take more responsibility in these crunch times for the London club.
- Aaron Wan-Bissaka: The former Manchester United star has reignited his career at West Ham. The right-back has been solid for his new club all season, featuring in 23 Premier League games and registering three goal contributions in the process.
