Everton Current Form – WDDDL
Everton has been a tough team to follow this season from a betting perspective. You would recall at the end of the festive season period, Sean Dyche’s men went on a decent run of results – granted many of them were draws – but they were against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City!
The reality is the Toffees can be resilient and then show their teeth when they get a chance in front of their opponents' box. They will never just roll over and back themselves against any opponent.
The only concern we would have with Sean Dyche’s team is that they fail to find the same sort of prowess when they are asked to dominate possession of the football. And against Leicester, they might just have to!
Key Players to Watch
- Jordan Pickford: The English keeper has been immense for Everton in big moments throughout this season. His ability is well-documented, but he seems to be a confident player. Expect to see the best from him once again here.
- Vitaliy Mykolenko: He is a player who has come into the league and made his selection in the Everton side his own. His movement up and down the left flank is in line with the ideals of a modern wide defensive player and so it is no surprise to see him find favour with Sean Dyche. A strong and aggressive defender who can also attack the opponent’s final third – Mykolenko has been vital to the Toffees this season.
- Jack Harrison: At the time of writing, Harrison has continued to fight for a starting place in this Evertonian side and slowly but surely, he is seemingly making good headway. He is a nibbly sort of attacking option, one who is always in the right place at the right time – but also happy to bite at the heels of an opponent trying to play the ball out of trouble.
Everton Team News
Dwight McNeil (knee injury), James Garner (back injury) and Tim Iroegbunam (foot injury) are all unavailable at the time of writing.
Leicester Current Form – WDWWW
Leicester have really struggled this season – even with Ruud van Nistelrooy taking charge of the Foxes. Defensively, they have gotten worse in recent weeks and just cannot keep a clean sheet at the moment.
It is difficult to see the Foxes staying up if they continue to play the way they have been playing, but you can’t fault their fight and willingness and sometimes that is enough to escape the drop…
The Premier League is a difficult environment for any team, you have to earn every point you get and the minute you drop your guard, you are already in trouble. It is difficult to see how the Foxes will earn many results though until they are able to find a defensive showing.
Key Players to Watch
- Jannick Vestergaard: The Danish international might be 32 years old but he has been brilliant for Leicester this season. He is a towering figure who has shown an ability and proved himself incredibly valuable both defensively and in attacking set pieces at the King Power. He has enjoyed yet another impressive season at Leicester this year.
- Harry Winks: He has blown hot and cold this season, but his ability is without question, and he is often the glue in the centre of the pitch for Leicester. He isn’t maybe as prolific as many would like in front of goal – but his ability to control the tempo and pace of a game should not be overlooked.
- Jamie Vardy: Red Bull’s favourite player, Vardy has – at the time of writing – scored 188 goals for Leicester and served the club for the past 12 years. There is no question that he has been crucial to their success, and they will be hopeful he is able to contribute to them staying up this season.
Leicester Team News
Ricardo Pereira (hamstring injury), Abdul Fatawu (knee injury), Mads Hermansen (groin injury) and Wilfred Ndidi (hamstring injury) are all doubtful for this fixture.

Suggested Bets
These are our top picks and value bets for Everton vs Leicester, perfect for those betting on the best online Premier League bookmakers.
Everton Win: Everton have been knocking on the door, playing some really impressive football at times and growing in their defensive confidence to keep teams out. Back them to claim all three points here.
Under 2.5 Goals: Neither side can afford to lose this game, the three points on offer are incredibly valuable to both teams and their intention to avoid the drop this season. We expect it to be rather cagey and so under 2.5 goals could be the play here.
Everton + Under 2.5 Goals: For the brave punter looking for a bit more value, back the Toffees to claim all three points together with the under 2.5 goals market.
Value Bets
Half-time/Full-time (Draw/Everton): We are backing a slow start with the Toffees edging out a close encounter. Back the half-time draw before Everton clinches it later on!
Half-time (Draw): For the conservative punter, back the half-time draw here at suitable odds. We think this game starts out close and really tight with very little between them. Get on.
Most Booking Points (Everton): The bread and butter of a Sean Dyche team is trying to limit as much space as possible and to take pride in their defensive duties. Expect Everton to commit to far more tackles than their hosts and as a result, land up in the referee's book more often!
Prediction: Everton to Win
We are backing the hosts to claim all three points at home to Leicester City. The Foxes have been unable to show any sort of defensive prowess against their opponents under Ruud van Nistelrooy and we think the Toffees can take full advantage of that. Back the home win!
