Manchester United have huffed and puffed at times under Ruben Amorim. There aren’t many who question that the Portuguese coach is the right man for the job, but at a club like Manchester United, results are everything. They currently languish in 13th position without many options for imminent success.

Nevertheless, these are two proud teams who will want to win, SportsBoom break down everything you need to know ahead of the clash, and we have included our own Everton vs Manchester United football betting prediction and suggested bets for you!

Everton Current Form – LWWWL

Everton certainly come into this game a little battered, but we have no doubt they will still show up swinging and giving it a good go! David Moyes has spoken a lot about ensuring his side maintain their performance levels, suggesting the results will inevitably come as a by-product.

Everton will have no fear of this United team – in truth, not many do! – but that will be a big player insofar as seeing a positive Everton prediction. David Moyes has been brilliant, but the way in which he has installed a seemingly unshakable confidence into this Toffee’s team has been cause for much of their success.

They don’t have a great record against Manchester United, but don’t be too surprised if that is to change here.

Key Players to Watch

  • Lliman Ndiaye: He has been a lively player for Everton. A powerful and confident runner with the ball at his feet, Ndiaye has been intentional about finding the back of the net for David Moyes and the Toffees. He will certainly be one to watch here.
  • Vitaliy Mykolenko: Week in and week out we have to mention Mykolenko! He suffered a calf injury, but given certain reports, he should be back in the team in time for this Premier League clash. If he is fit, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him regain his place immediately. His defensive and attacking contributions have been simply immense for his team.
  • Idrissa Gana Gueye: He is a player we expect to see a lot more game time under David Moyes. His ability to ensure his team win the midfield battle is second to none and given the Manchester United threat in the middle of the pitch, Gueye will be vital for Everton going forward – but also on defence.

Everton Team News

Dwight McNeil (knee injury), Armando Broja (tendon injury), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (hamstring injury), Seamus Coleman (thigh injury) and Youssef Chermiti (knock) are all doubtful for the visit of Manchester United.

Manchester United Current Form – WWWLW

At the risk of jumping on the bandwagon, Manchester United have found consistency in poor performances this season. They have been awful during the course of the season and the truth is that the chances of any real success this season are beginning to hang on by the most notable lengths of thread.

Ruben Amorim is a fantastic manager, of that there is no doubt, but you have to wonder how much more time he will be given at Old Trafford if they fail to turn their results around.

It is so difficult to give any sort of prediction around Manchester United with confidence, and this is reflected in the generous odds offered by our top sport betting sites. The only saving grace is the quality – at least on paper – associated with the Red Devils.

Key Players to Watch

  • Harry Maguire: You have to feel for Maguire a little bit. He has struggled during his tenure at Old Trafford, but the performances we have seen from him lately tell a very different story! So, in the spirit of giving credit where it is due, he has been impressively consistent for United this season.
  • Manuel Ugarte: A midfielder at United who won’t always attract much attention, Ugarte has been superb in the middle of the pitch. Happy to do the dirty work, he gives 100% effort each week and his ability to break down the opponents build-up is often other worldly.
  • Amad Diallo: When you talk about a youngster enjoying a breakout season, Amad should spring to mind almost immediately. He has been brilliant for United and looks to only get better each time we see him. He could be a star!

Manchester United Team News

Jonny Evans (muscle injury), Lisandro Martinez (cruciate ligament injury) and Mason Mount (muscle injury) are all currently unavailable.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Everton: 4-3-3

Pickford, Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko, Garner, Gueye, Doucoure, Lindstarm, Beto, Ndiaye.

  2. Manchester United: 3-4-2-1

Onana, Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro, Dalot, Fernandes, Ugarte, Dorgu, Mainoo, Amad, Hojlund.

Suggested Bets

We suggest the following bets with reliable Premier League bookmakers

  1. Manchester United Win: Granted, the level of confidence in this selection leaves a bit to be desired but given the quality in this United side and the record they have against Everton, we are on the away win! 3/2 (2.5) with Betway

  2. Both Teams to Score (Yes): United might have a good record against this Everton side, but given their lackluster ability to defend and Everton’s confidence under David Moyes – back Both Teams to Score at 8/10 (1.8) with 1xBet

  3. Manchester United + Both Teams to Score: Take advantage of the generous odds-on offer for this combination. 39/10 (4.9) with Pinnacle

Value Bets

  1. Half-time (Draw): United have started slowly pretty much all season, Everton are likely to approach the game with caution, knowing the pace their visitors hold for the counter – back the draw at the halfway stage. 28/25 (2.12) with Betway

  2. 1st Goal (Everton): Back Everton to open the scoring here, pretty much been United’s modus operandi for the past few weeks, we might as well make money from it! 10/10 (2.0) with Betway

  3. Manchester United + Over 1.5 Goals: For those punters skeptical about backing the Both Teams to Score market, this might be a safer option…43/20 (3.3) with Stake

Prediction: Manchester United Win

Manchester United has blown hot and cold pretty much all season. Everton are enjoying life under David Moyes and look set to retain their Premier league status. However, the quality in this United squad, the record the Red Devils have against the Toffees and the current run of form suggest United get a favourable result here.

We are backing Ruben Amorim’s side to come away with all three points.
