Fulham Current Form – DDDWD
Fulham have played some really impressive football this season, and Marco Silva is once again showing why he is a manager full of merit. Their results may be somewhat frustrating, both for the avid supporter and betting enthusiast, but the performance has been consistently impressive.
The only critique you could level at the hosts is possibly the fact that they have failed to kill games off at home and allow their opponent to stay relevant for far too long.
Key Players to Watch
- Bernd Leno: nce again Leno is a player we have to mention. The keeper was superb for Fulham against Bournemouth – arguably the best player on the field – and always seems to keep his team in the game.
His shot stopping ability is outstanding, but his organization and footwork allow his side to relieve early pressure and get out of dangerous areas seamlessly. - Alex Iwobi: Iwobi is a player who looks to be playing with a newfound freedom at Fulham. When he originally burst onto the Premier League scene, he was all the hype, but never really lived up to it. Under the guise of Marco Silva though, he is showing his ability once again and has been dangerous on the left for the Cottagers.
- Andreas Perreira: The midfielder is another player worth noting for Fulham. His creative movement in the middle of the pitch is second to none, but he also has the ability to score good goals and put pressure on the opponents final third.
Don’t be surprised to see him contribute to the goals or assists against the Tractor Boys here.
Fulham Team News
Harrison Reed (knee injury), Kenny Tete (knee injury), Reiss Nelson (thigh injury) and Sander Berge (ankle injury) are all a doubt for Fulham here.
Ipswich Current Form – LLWLL
Fair play to Ipswich and Kieran McKenna. They have refused to simply become the whipping boys of the Premier League – even if they have struggled to find positive results. McKenna has consistently mentioned that his side will never just roll over against any opposition and that they want to remain committed to their style of play and approach in the Premier League.
If nothing else, we can expect a determination from Ipswich here. They will be happy to hang in and look to exploit any chances which come their way. If Fulham don’t put this game to bed early they may just have to pay an uncomfortable price as the game goes on.
Key Players to Watch
- Liam Delap: Although he has gone through a bit of a dry patch here, Delap is the most potent weapon Ipswich hold. He has scored double the number of goals – six in total – that any other player at Ipswich has scored and McKenna will be hopeful he once again finds the back of the net.
- Jacob Greaves: Naturally, Ipswich isn’t going to necessarily dominate the numbers for defensive outputs, but Greaves has certainly been one to watch in their defensive system. His strong defending and dynamic movement and passing have been an asset to Portman Road this season and against a Fulham side littered with attacking talent – he will need to be at his level best once again.
- Kalvin Phillips: He is another player who’s name seemingly keeps coming up when talking about important players for Ipswich. He has truly epitomized what a box-to-box midfielder can do for any team and his work rate has often single-handedly been the difference for midfield duels this season!
Ipswich Team News
Axel Tuanzebe (hamstring injury), George Hirst (knee injury), Janoi Donacien (leg injury) and Massimo Luongo (unknown) are all a doubt for this Premier League game.
Predicted Line-Up
Fulham: 3-4-3
Leno, Diop, Anderson, Bassey, Castagne, Lukic, Pereira, Robinson, Wilson, Jimenez, Iwobi.
Ipswich: 5-4-1
Muric, Johnson, Greaves, Woolfenden, O’Shea, Davis, Hutchinson, Phillips, Cajuste, Szmodics, Delap.
Suggested Bets
These are our suggested bets for this Premier League clash between Fulham and Ipswich.
Under 2.5 Goals: Neither side has shown they are able to continually blow their opponents out of the water. They have both struggled in front of goal and given the defensive data, we think backing under 2.5 goals is the pick here. 11/10 (2.1) with Pinnacle and BetWinner
Both Teams to Score (No): We expect a rather cagey game to materialize here. Ipswich will be happy to get bodies behind the ball, hang in there and hope to find some value on the break.
Goals might be few and far between for these two teams. 23/25 (1.92) with Betway and BetWinnerIpswich (+ 1) Handicap: We are backing Ipswich to remain within the +1 spread for this encounter. Fulham struggle to put games to bed and if they allow the visitors to stay within touching distance, we think the Tractor Boys could find some value. 5/10 (1.5) with Pinnacle and BetWinner
Value Bets
Ipswich (Win/Draw) Double Chance: Following on from our suggested bets, for the brave punter among us, back the Tractor boys to come away from this game with something to show for it! 29/20 (2.45) with Betway and BetWinner
Ipswich (Draw No Bet): For the more conservating looking for more cover – back Ipswich with the draw no bet option as an extra safety net. 17/5 (4.4) with Betway and BetWinner
Ipswich by 1: At massive odds, back the Tractor Boys to clinch a win by a solitary goal! 7/1 (8.0) with Betway and BetWinner
Under 2.5 Goals
There is enough value to justify backing the goals market exclusively in this one. At a minimum of 11/10 (2.1) with any reliable football betting sportsbook, we think this could be the play.
Neither side has shown an outlandish propensity to find the back of the net, the approach for both will not be as expansive as we might otherwise enjoy, and this game could turn out to be rather cagey.
Back Under 2.5 Goals and add it to all of your weekend multiples!
