Leicester Current Form – WLLWL

Leicester managed a massive win over Tottenham in the league before being battered 4-0 at Goodison Park by Everton. Have the Foxes turned a corner? Our Leicester prediction might suggest they have, but they are still well within a relegation scrap and know that every point will be crucial from here on in.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will know that for Leicester to survive this they have to be able to play better passages of football and ensure they find a degree of consistency. They seem to have little issue going forward, but failing to keep a clean sheet in what feels like forever will never hold them in good stead.

Key Players to Watch

  • Bobby Decordova-Reid: He hasn’t always been a player which attracts the attention of many, but he is one of the few players for Leicester who has shown some sort of consistency. He has found so much value in simplicity and given the quality he has going forward, he is certainly one to watch here.
  • Harry Winks: Harry Winks isn’t the most creative player necessarily, but his reading of the game often allows him to close important space through the Leicester midfield and contribute to their defensive duties. In fairness, they need all the help they can get defensively and will surely be looking to players all over the pitch to contribute to this endeavor.
  • Jamie Vardy: What a player Jamie Vardy has been for the Foxes. We have spoken about him a great deal, but even at the age of 38, he seems to be getting quicker and even more aggressive. He scores really important goals for his team and will no doubt be someone to have a say here should they find a positive result.

Leicester Team News

Ricardo Pereira (hamstring strain), Abdul Fatawu (knee injury) and Wilfred Ndidi (hamstring strain) are all unavailable for this encounter.

Arsenal Current Form – DWWWW

Arsenal have had to contend with a fair few injuries this season, but the squad Mikel Arteta has at his disposal is one which absolutely oozes effortless ability and talent. There are serious footballers all over the pitch and given the sort of results they have achieved recently; they will surely come into this one with a huge amount of confidence.

The Gunners are still a relevant party to the title race and so long as they keep adding to their tally, the more they drag on the race. Yes, it sounds somewhat indifferent, but it is all they can really do at this point.

Key Players to Watch

  • David Raya: Raya has been immense for Arsenal. His constant communication and dominance in his 18-yard area allow for Arteta’s men to feel a confidence all the way through the team. He has enjoyed a brilliant campaign so far and we don’t see that ending here.
  • Myles Lewis-Skelly: A young talent who has enjoyed a breakout season for the ages. His maturity on the field is so far removed from his age, you wouldn’t be blamed to think he has been at Arsenal for a great amount of time. He is a special player and will be important for their title hopes.
  • Kai Havertz: The attacking threat has at times struggled to find a consistent confidence, but all at Arsenal will be hopeful that now he has found the back of the net once again – confidence is surely not that far behind!

Arsenal Team News

Ben White (knee injury), Bukayo Saka (hamstring injury), Gabriel Jesus (cruciate ligament injury) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee injury) are all unavailable.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Leicester: 4-2-3-1

Hermansen, Justin, Vestergaard, Faes, Kristiansen, Soumare, Winks, Decordova-Reid, El Khannous, Ayew, Vardy.

  2. Arsenal: 4-3-3

Raya, Timber, Saliba, Magalhaes, Lewis-Skelly, Odegaard, Partey, Rice, Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard

Suggested Bets

Our suggested bets for those who wants to bet on football are listed below.

  1. Arsenal Win: The quality in this Arsenal side, coupled with the incentive attached to the three points on offer make us think the only outcome here is an away win. 3/10 (1.3) with BetWinner

  2. Both Teams to Score (No): Leicester have attacking aces – there is no question about it – but their reliance on players like Vardy is far too intense. They also come up against one of the best defence records in the league. 4/5 (1.8) with BetWinner

  3. Arsenal + Both Teams to Score (No): Back a combination with plenty of value. 1/1 (2.0) with BetWinner

Value Bets

  1. Arsenal to Score in Both Halves (Yes): Back the visitors to find the back of the net in both halves.  9/10 (1.9) with Betway

  2. Arsenal (Win Both Halves): To take their domination of the game a step further, back the visitors to win both halves at generous odds. 9/5 (2.8) with Betway

  3. Arsenal 3+ Goals: We are backing the Gunners to run riot in front of goal. Get on.  49/50 (1.98) with Betway

Prediction: Arsenal Win

The visitors will know a win is the only result they can afford to leave the King Power with if they have any hope of challenging Liverpool all the way. Leicester are desperate for the three points on offer, but Arsenal will be too strong.
