Leicester Current Form – LLLLW

Leicester is still seemingly riding the wave of their FA Cup third-round win, but Ruud van Nistelrooy will know that his side must begin to rack up league points as well. They are precariously close to relegation so every league point on offer must be seen as vital.

The issue we all have with Leicester must be their defensive inconsistencies…A Leicester Fulham prediction becomes rather straightforward when you consider that the hosts can’t seem to keep a clean sheet for anything, and their hosts have a multi-faceted approach to their attacking threats.

Nevertheless, this could be a tricky game for the Foxes. Defensively they must be up for it and then allow the likes of Jamie Vardy to take full advantage upfront.

Key Players to Watch

  • Wout Faes: We will leave you to decide whether Faes has regressed in the Premier League, but as a presence in this Leicester backline, he has been immense. Not the best defender with his feet or confidence to step up into midfield, but a simple and no-nonsense defender could be the difference between Championship and Premier League football for the Foxes.
  • Harry Winks: We have always rated Winks as a competent midfielder. He isn’t the most creative necessarily, but his reading of the game often allows him to close important space through the Leicester midfield and inadvertently adds a layer of protection to their centre-backs. He will be important.
  • Jamie Vardy: The ultimate servant for Leicester City, Vardy remains a threat up front and main source of all of their attacking threats. Jamie Vardy remains a pacey option for the home side, and they will be hoping for a huge shift over the next few weeks.

Leicester Team News

Ricardo Pereira (hamstring strain), Abdul Fatawu (knee injury), Jannik Vestergaard (hamstring strain) and Wilfred Ndidi (hamstring strain) are all unavailable for this encounter.

Fulham Current Form – DWDDW

There is no doubting the fact that Fulham are an impressive side, the only concern around the Cottagers is their inconsistency in results and performances. Yes, they boast a really impressive run of results, but when you think back to their draws with the likes of Southampton and Ipswich you are (with respect) left scratching your head a little bit).

Marco Silva’s side has seemingly now found a new affinity with drawing football fixtures and while that might be welcomed news for their hosts, it certainly will not be good enough for all at Craven Cottage.

Key Players to Watch

  • Raul Jimenez: Jimenez is once again mentioned as a player to watch. He is enjoying an incredible run of form with Fulham and given the fact that he hasn’t been as prolific as this since the 2019/20 campaign, is again an incredible achievement.
  • Emile Smith Rowe: His quality has never been in question, but you still get the feeling that he has a lot more to offer Fulham. We have seen glimpses of his brilliance at times this season, but when he controls a game, he truly can be unplayable.
  • Alex Iwobi: Iwobi is another player who at times seems to have resurrected his career at Fulham. He is a strong attacking option who can go forward with devastating brilliance and a clinical finish. Fulham will certainly look to him to find a positive Fulham prediction!

Fulham Team News

Fulham are without Reiss Nelson (thigh injury), Kenny Tete (knee injury), Sander Berge (ankle injury) and Rodrigo Muniz (back injury).

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Leicester: 4-2-3-1

Stolarcyk, Justin, Coady, Faes, Kristiansen, Soumare, Winks, Buonanotte, El Khannous, Mavididi, Vardy.

  2. Fulham: 4-2-3-1

Leno, Robinson, Bassey, Diop, Tete, Berge, Lukic, Traore, Smith-Rowe, Iwobi, Jiminez.

Suggested Bets

Our suggested bets ahead of the Leicester Fulham prediction.

  1. Draw: Leicester have enough attacking prowess to challenge Fulham but given the Cottagers' inconsistency – especially on the road – we are backing the draw here. 27/10 (3.70) with Betway and BetWinner

  2. Both Teams to Score: Simply put, neither side has shown anything close to an exceptional defensive solidity in the last few weeks and so Both Teams to Score comes into the fray. 13/20 (1.65) with Betway and BetWinner

  3. Both Teams to Score + Over 2.5: For the brave punter, take what we say above and throw in a touch of value. 89/100 (1.89) with Betway and BetWinner

Value Bets

  1. 1

Jamie Vardy – Anytime Goalscorer: Yes! He still has it, back Vardy to find the back of the net during the 90 minutes here.  9/4 (3.25) with Betway and BetWinner

  2. 2

Fulham to Win Any Half: Fulham are, at least on paper, the better team here. Back them to win a half at decent odds. 47/100 (1.47) with Betway and BetWinner

  3. 3

Correct Score 1-1: Not a terrible amount to split these two teams, neither side can really boast a defensive solidity, and both can wield attacking options in front of goal.  31/5 (7.20) with Betway and BetWinner

Prediction: Draw

There are few certainties in life. Now, you will know the popular death and taxes motif, but when it comes to football betting in the Premier League it can just as simple. When it looks like a draw, smells like a draw and acts like a draw, chances are it is a draw. Get on!
