The Reds host Spurs in a mouth-watering clash on Sunday when two clubs who have endured very different seasons to date lock horns. Arne Slot’s side has been the best in the land this season, while Ange Postecoglou’s team will want this season to end as soon as possible after a torrid time in the league.

Liverpool Current Form – WWWLW

As we head into the business end of the season, the Merseyside club has lost just once and won the other four of their previous five Premier League games. They are the highest scorers in the league and have conceded the second fewest.

Key Players to watch

  • Mohamed Salah: The Egyptian is putting on a spectacle in the Premier League. Salah’s numbers are not normal, and neither is the consistency of output. He has 45 goal contributions in the league in 33 matches.
  • Dominik Szoboszlai: The 24-year-old looks to be settling in well at Liverpool in his second season at the club. The silky midfielder does not stop running for the 90 minutes, and he can strike the ball with both feet.
  • Alexis Mac Allister: The Argentinian has become one of the first players on Slot’s team sheets. The 26-year-old is reliable and has been controlling the midfield for the Reds this season.

Liverpool Team News

Joe Gomez is a long-term absentee with a hamstring injury and is the only player missing from Slot’s side. The Slot train is showing no sign of slowing down as they head toward a 20th Premier League title.

Tottenham Hotspur Current Form – DLLWL

Big Ange’s side has had a really poor season to date. With all the talent in that Spurs outfit, they should not be languishing in the bottom half of the table. They have recorded just one victory over their previous five games and have lost thrice and drawn the other.

Key Players to watch

  • Pedro Porro: The right-back has an excellent delivery on him from crosses and set-pieces. The Spanish full-back has five assists and two goals this campaign.
  • Dejan Kulusevski: Dejan Kulusevski has proved his versatility this season. The 24-year-old is capable of playing across the front three. The Swede has been one of Spurs’ main source of goals this season, contributing seven goals and four assists.
  • Archie Gray: The talented youngster has been one of Big Ange’s best performers in his debut season. The right-back has been tasked with slotting in at centre-back due to the injuries in the squad and has been sensational at the back.

Tottenham Team News

Ragu Dragusin has a knee injury, and James Maddison has a knock. Meanwhile, captain Son Heung-Min has a foot injury and is touch and go for the trip to Anfield. With an almost fully fit squad, Big Ange will expect an upturn in form to save some pride as we enter the final games of the season.
