Liverpool vs West Ham Preview: Odds, Tips and Prediction

Venue: Anfield Kickoff Time: 14:00 (UK Time) Liverpool sits at the summit of the Premier League table with 73 points. 11 clear of their nearest rivals Arsenal, who don’t seem to be able to apply much pressure even when Arne Slot’s side give up points. Graham Potter’s West Ham is in 16th currently, but given their 15-point buffer, they are guaranteed safety and will likely begin looking ahead to next season soon. Fans keeping tabs on matches like these can turn to trusted football bettingplatforms for the latest odds and insights.

Liverpool Current Form – WWWWL

Notwithstanding Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League performances, their league display gave way when faced with a stern test at Craven Cottage. Fulham refused to go away and ended up claiming a massive 3-2 win over the champions elect.

You get the feeling that Liverpool will be totally committed to getting the job done here and moving one step closer to securing their almost inevitable title, but Arne Slot will know how important keeping momentum and finishing the season strong will be.

Key Players to Watch

Dominik Szoboszlai
The Hungarian has been vital for Liverpool in midfield. Not always the player stealing the headlines after a performance, but his creative control from just behind their attacking aces has been phenomenal. Keep an eye on him here.

Luis Diaz
As a winger, Diaz has been vital to Liverpool’s attacking threat. The rumors surrounding his apparent impending departure won’t give many Reds fans too much comfort, but his performances while at the club have been nothing short of brilliant.

Curtis Jones
You have got to feel for Jones a little bit, he has been a fantastic player for Liverpool and when deployed down the right flank he has covered the position with ease and grace. A lot has been made about his increased opportunity being linked to the Trent Alexander-Arnold debacle, but that isn’t fair on the performances of Jones.

Liverpool Team News

Liverpool is still without their first-choice keeper, Alisson is sidelined with a concussion, while Joe Gomez is struggling with a hamstring strain. Tyler Morton is a doubt with a shoulder injury and Trent Alexander-Arnold is recovering from a knee injury.

West Ham Current Form – WLDLD

West Ham’s performances have begun to seemingly fizzle out a little bit in recent weeks. Granted, they have secured Premier League status for next season and might already begin to look ahead to the new season, but a strong finish might be important for Graham Potter here.

Their home record has been horrible, losing three of their last five in London, but their record on the road doesn’t add to much gloss neither. Now you add a trip to Anfield and all of a sudden the confidence amongst the visitors might begin to wane.

Key Players to Watch

Jarrod Bowen
Bowen has proven to be a pivotal figure at West Ham pretty much throughout his career for the Hammers. Leading the team’s attack in the absence of other forward players, his creative nature is bettered only by his ability to score crucial goals.

Tomas Soucek
There isn’t, arguably, a better box-to-box midfielder in the league at the moment. His offensive contributions from midfield are on par with many forwards, but his aggressive and robust nature is what makes him such an incredible player for West Ham. Furthermore, his aerial ability makes him a threat from pretty much any dead-ball situation and with consistency, he is simply brilliant.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka
He is another player who has solidified the defence for West Ham. Since his transfer from Manchester United, he has proven to maintain his 1v1 defensive ability while also offering a threat down the flank.

West Ham Team News

Michail Antonio is the only player on the injury list for the Hammers – he is still recovering from a broken leg earlier this season.

Predicted Line-Up

Suggested Bets

Here are suggested bets for this Premier League encounter, looking at various betting strategies to help guide your picks.

  1. Liverpool Win: This is as straightforward as it gets, but we can’t see past the Liverpool home win here. 1/3 (1.33) with BetWinner

  2. Over 2.5 Goals: Liverpool will approach this game with their usual Anfield induced confidence, West Ham have struggled defensively, but also pose their own attacking threat. Back over 2.5 Goals here. 5/10 (1.5) with Stake

  3. Liverpool + Over 2.5 Goals: Combine these two betting angles to maximize the potential return here. Taking full advantage of the home win. 8/10 (1.8) with Stake

Value Bets

These picks can offer strong early returns—especially when paired with a welcome bonus from top sportsbooks.

  1. Liverpool to Win Both Halves: Liverpool have historically dominated this fixture and we cannot find a reason why this would change here. 18/10 (2.8) with Betway

  2. Correct Score (3-1): Back the hosts to come away with a commanding victory at Anfield. 9/1 (10.0) with 1xBet

  3. Jarrod Bowen (+2 Shots on Target): A riskier bet to take at Anfield, but not one which is totally out of historical character for Bowen. 18/10 (2.8) with Pinnacle

Prediction: Liverpool to Win

This is another banker betting option for the weekend football. Liverpool will no doubt want to make a statement in front of their home crowd, alongside finishing the season on a strong note, and so we are backing them to come away with all three points on offer.
