Nottingham Forest Current Form – WWWWW

Nottingham Forest have been a bit of a surprise package this season. The more you think their fine run of form will come to an end, the more they surprise you and continue to rack up points.

They have almost dialed back the clock and renewed their 1970s league experience where they are keeping up with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League – which for Premier League betting purposes is most welcomed! The hosts have already taken three points from Liverpool at Anfield – and they will certainly want to complete the league double here. They have been playing well, but this second half of the season is where all of the groundwork they have done needs to come to fruition.

Key Players to Watch

  • Chris Wood: Chris Wood has been simply immense for his side. The key to any team going through a purple patch in the league is a prolific goal scorer and Wood seems happy to take up that role.
  • Anthony Elanga: Elanga struggled at Manchester United but there was always the idea that he was a talented footballer. He has settled in nicely at Forest and continues to contribute to their attacking threat. His work rate is incredible on the flanks, but his ability to score and assist will be important for the rest of this season.
  • Nikola Milenkovic: Nottingham Forest have arguably the best central defensive pairing in the league at the moment. That is largely due to Milenkovic and his partnership with Morato. The defensive platform they give Forest has been superb in that it allows them to launch attacking threats from nothing.

Nottingham Forest Team News

Danilo Oliveira (broken ankle) and Ibrahim Sangare (thigh injury) are unavailable to Forest for this encounter.

Liverpool Current Form – WWWWD

Liverpool is arguably in the greatest possible position at the moment. Yes, they are at the summit of the Premier League and Arne Slot has seen his side position themselves to seriously challenge to win the entire thing. However, not only has their approach been refined and somewhat perfected (for lack of a better phrase) they have a squad with unthinkable depth.

The Reds are simply in another stratosphere at the moment, and it has been rather difficult to see where their weaknesses lie. They have goals in them for sure, but they can come from pretty much anywhere. Defensively, they continue to look so solid and so it’s difficult to ever go against them.

Key Players to Watch

  • Cody Gakpo: There has been a lot made about Cody Gakpo at Liverpool, but in the short time the Dutch international has been in the league, he has already left his mark. A passionate player with an eye for goal and the work rate to contribute defensively – he has been important for Arne Slot this season.
  • Ibrahima Konate: Konate struggled a bit with injury and whilst Joe Gomez held the proverbial fort – the Frenchman’s towering presence and composed approach to his defensive duties have been missed by Liverpool. Arne Slot slotted (promise that wasn’t intentional) him straight back into the team and he was incredible against Manchester United. He will be one to watch here.
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold: Alexander-Arnold has been under a little pressure of late. He has registered some sloppy performances for Liverpool and amidst all of the speculation about him entertaining the idea to move to Real Madrid, the Merseyside faithful will no doubt be short on patience with him.

Liverpool Team News

Joe Gomez (hamstring strain) is the only player unavailable to Liverpool for this one.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Nottingham Forest: 4-2-3-1

Sels, Williams, Morato, Milenkovic, Aina, Dominguez, Anderson, Elanga, Gibbs-White, Sosa, Wood.

  2. Liverpool: 4-2-3-1

Alison, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Salah, Jones, Gakpo, Diaz.

Suggested Bets

These are our betting strategies for the game between Everton and Leicester!

  1. Liverpool Win: Liverpool will no doubt want to get a bit of revenge here, considering they lost at Anfield to Forest earlier this season. However, more important is the three points on offer. 13/20 (1.65) with 1xBet and Stake.

  2. Both Teams to Score: The attacking threat Forest carry shouldn’t be underestimated, even against this Liverpool side. Back both teams to score at 16/25 (1.64) with 1xBet and Stake.

  3. Liverpool + Both Teams to Score (Yes): For those happy to combine the two betting angles, back the visitors to win and both teams scoring at 37/20 (2.85) with 1xBet and Stake.

Value Bets

  1. Both Teams to Score + Over 2.5 Goals: There will be goals in this one. Over 2.5 goals and both teams scoring is a combo bet available at as much as 41/50 (1.82) with Betway.

  2. Liverpool/Draw + Both Teams to Score: If you are not as confident in Liverpool, backing them on the Win/Draw Double Chance and both teams to score offers plenty of value at 1/1 (2.0) with Betway.

  3. Mohamed Salah (Anytime Goalscorer): The Egyptian ace has been in incredible form recently, and so we wouldn’t dissuade you from throwing a few coins at him finding the back of the net at some point during this encounter. Get on at 18/10 (2.8) with 1xBet and Stake.

Prediction: Liverpool Win

Arne Slot’s side have been in incredible form. They have shown their class for large portions of this season, and we don’t see any reason for that to stop anytime soon. There is healthy respect for Nottingham Forest and everything they have done this season, but the quality in this Liverpool side is undeniable. If they bring their best to the City Ground, they leave with all three points.
