Nottingham Forest Current Form – LLDWW

Enough has been made about Forest in the league this season. They just continue to play really good football and earn incredible results. Their last two games were victories against Manchester City and Ipswich – and in both performances they attacked with incredible impotence.

For all Forest are, they just simply score plenty of goals and I don’t think this will be any different here.

Key Players to Watch

Morgan Gibbs-White
A creative midfielder who has played a pivotal role in the goalscoring prowess at Nottingham Forest this season. His gritty and robust approach to the so-called ‘pretty side’ of things at Forest make him a formidable option through the midfield at the City Ground.

Callum Hudson-Odoi
He has thoroughly enjoyed life under Nuno Espirito Santo, and could be thrown into the national side shakeup soon. He is a prolific finisher with an eye for goal and a sort of underestimated physical presence. He will no doubt have a say here.

Ola Aina
A versatile defender who has been instrumental in seeing Forest become one of the most difficult sides in the Premier league to break down. For me, what makes him such a brilliant option across Forest’s backline is his adaptability and versatility in performance.

Nottingham Forest Team News

At the time of writing, only Carlos Miguel is an injury concern with a hamstring injury. Otherwise, Forest has the benefit of a full squad to pick from for their clash with Manchester United.

Manchester United Current Form – LDWDW

For all of their quality, Manchester United is far from prolific. Granted, they have improved in recent weeks – but this is largely due to their reliance on the individual quality of their players.

United will know that they will need to defend and withstand the onslaught from Forest – who will attack with pace and skill every time they are in possession of the football. United might enjoy this approach though, they have looked far better on the counter and so might relish the chance to claim a good win on enemy soil.

Key Players to Watch

Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes continues to justify a mention here. He has at times singlehandedly been the reason United are competitive and come away with something to show for their recent performances. He will certainly be one to watch here.

Mason Mount
I don’t think Mason Mount will start this game but given the fact that he is back from injury, and able to be named in the matchday squad, is a positive for everyone at United. There has been so much said about his quality, and should he stay fit, he can still have a serious impact for the Red Devils.

Casemiro
An experienced and defensive midfielder with serious quality. A lot has been made about him moving away from Old Trafford, but irrespective of this talk, the Brazilian has enjoyed a serious upturn in quality this season.

Manchester United Team News

United still have a whole host of players sidelined due to injury. Luke Shaw is showing signs of returning, along with Jonny Evans and Ayden Heaven. Kobbie Mainoo, however, is still struggling with various muscle strains and as a result, is sidelined for this encounter.

Altay Bayindir could still be a doubt with a knock, Amad Diallo is still struggling with his ankle injury and Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez are set to miss this clash as well.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Nottingham Forest: 4-2-3-1
Sels, Williams, Murillo, Milenkovic, Aina, Anderson, Dominguez, Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Elanga, Wood.

  2. Manchester United: 3-4-2-1
Onana, De Ligt, Lindelof, Yoro, Mazraoui, Fernandes, Casemiro, Dalot, Garnacho, Eriksen, Zirkzee.

Suggested Bets

SportsBoom suggests the following bets for this Premier League encounter, drawing on proven betting strategies to help guide your picks.

  1. Both Teams to Score (Yes): The attacking attributes of both teams suggest that backing both to get on the score sheet could be the play here. 7/10 (1.7) with BetWinner

  2. Over 2.5 Goals: Furthermore, from the attacking aspects of both teams, another betting suggestion could be backing more than 2.5 goals here.  17/20 (1.85) with Stake

  3. Manchester United Win/Draw: United have a side riddled with quality and before the international break, they began to show a degree of quality in the league. Back them to come away with something here. 6/10 (1.6) with Stake.

Value Bets

If you are looking for betting options with a little more risk and a lot more value, our suggestion is the value bet options. New players can also take advantage of a sign up bonus to enhance their betting experience.

  1. Manchester United (Win): United have a strong record against Forest and we are backing them to claim all three points here. 9/4 (3.25) with Betway

  2. Rasmus Hojlund (Anytime Goalscorer): The Dane has finally begun to find the back of the net and seemingly grown in confidence during the international break. Back him to find the goals here again. 15/10 (2.5) with 1xBet

  3. Nottingham Forest to Score First: United have a horrible defensive record and we back the hosts to open the scoring in this encounter.  8/10 (1.8) with Pinnacle

Prediction: Manchester United Win/Draw + Both Teams to Score

We are backing United to come away from this encounter with something to show for it. There is no denying they have a side with incredible ability and potential, but their inconsistency doesn’t allow for them to put any sort of form together.
