Spurs host Forest in an exciting Premier League encounter as two teams who have had very different seasons to date clash in London. Ange Postecoglou’s side has had a torrid season by their standards, while Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have been the surprise package of the season. Forest claimed a hard-fought one nil victory in the reverse fixture as Anthony Elanga’s first-half strike sealed all three points for the home side.

Big Ange’s side has had a really poor season to date. With all the talent in that Spurs outfit, they should not be languishing in the bottom half of the table. They have recorded just one victory over their previous five games and have lost thrice and drawn the other.

Key Players to watch

  • Pedro Porro: The lung-busting right-back has an excellent delivery on him from crosses and set-pieces. The Spanish full-back has five assists and two goals this campaign.
  • Dejan Kulusevski: Dejan Kulusevski has proved his versatility this season. The 24-year-old is capable of playing across the front three. The Swede has been one of Spurs’ main sources of goals this season, contributing seven goals and four assists.
  • Archie Gray: The talented youngster has been one of Big Ange’s best performers in his debut season. The right-back has been tasked with slotting in at centre-back due to the injuries in the squad and has been sensational at the back.

Tottenham Team News

Ragu Dragusin has a knee injury, and Kevin Danso has a hamstring problem. Meanwhile, captain Son Heung-Min (Knock) and Dejan Kulusevski (Foot) have minor issues, but they should be back in time for the visit of third-placed Forest.

Besides the blip of the two back-to-back losses, Forest have been fairly consistent over their previous five games. Espirito Santo’s men have been one of the best sides in the league and are well-placed to finish in a Champions League spot for next season.

Key Players to watch

  • Chris Wood: The New Zealander is having an all-timer season for Forest. The 33-year-old always knew the way to the goal, but the numbers he is putting up this season are very impressive! Wood has 18 goals and three assists for Espirito Santo’s men.
  • Morgan Gibbs-White: Gibbs-White is a joy to watch. The number 10 puts in a shift every game and is one of Forest’s stand-out players. The 25-year-old has 12 goal contributions in 28 Premier League games this season.
  • Murillo: The all-action centre-back has been terrific for the Reds. The Brazilian was recently awarded a new long-term contract. Recognition for his stellar performances this season.

Nottingham Forest Team News

Forest will only be missing Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi; other than that, they have a fully fit side for the trip to London. With six games to go, Nuno will need all his players fit for the run-in to consolidate their Champions League place.
