Tottenham Current Form – WLLWW

Ange Postecoglou remains under the spotlight, and the pressure on this Spurs team to find a run of form remains. James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario returning from injury has been a massive blessing for Spurs – both of them have showed their class when rejoining the starting eleven – but this will be a massive test.

City are wounded, but they remain vulnerable. If the hosts are able to get into the game early and put pressure on their visitors, there isn’t any reason why they can’t come away with all three points on offer.

Key Players to Watch

  • Brennan Johnson: After returning from his calf injury, Johnson has been incredible for Spurs. Adding an attacking edge to their approach, he has enjoyed tremendous form in front of goal and will no doubt be wanting to add to his tally of nine league goals this season.
  • Heung-Min Son: You didn’t think we would leave him out surely? He will always be a pivotal figure for Spurs. He has been somewhat quiet in recent weeks, but he is the sort of player who can turn a game on its head in an instant.
  • James Maddison: His creative addition since rejoining the side has been interesting. There is no denying they are a better side with Maddison in the midfield and so all at Spurs will be hopeful that he’s able to stay fit for the remainder of the season.

Tottenham Team News

Dominic Solanke (knee injury), Christian Romero (muscle injury), Richarlison (muscle strain) and Timo Werner (hamstring injury) are ruled out of this clash due to injury.

Manchester City Current Form – WLWLL

If we are being truly honest, the last two performances by City have been simply shambolic. It is baffling to see a side littered with so much talent simply lose every ounce of confidence on the absence of one player – Rodri.

Granted, Erling Haaland is immense for City, but they are too good a side to just roll over the way they did against Real Madrid in Spain and then Liverpool in the league. City are wounded and often find an emphatic response when they find themselves with their backs against the wall – but they will need a big performance here.

Key Players to Watch

  • Erling Haaland: Early indicators suggest that he will be back to play a role in this encounter – but either way, we want to talk about him a little more. He remains a central cog to their attack, and given his goal-scoring abilities, he is a threat to any defensive system.
  • Phil Foden: He hasn’t found the limelight as much this season, but he is a consistent addition to their midfield. A versatile player with creativity, dribbling skills, a dangerous finish and the capacity to contribute to their defensive duties – keep an eye on the Englishman here.
  • Nathan Ake: Arguably one of the more underrated players at the Etihad, Ake has been a linchpin for Manchester City. His ability to break up play, move into the midfield and add numbers when they go forward and then distribute the ball higher up the pitch makes him a versatile and reliable option in this City defence.

Manchester City Team News

Manuel Akanji (groin injury), John Stones (muscle injury), Oscar Bobb (broken leg) and Rodri (knee injury) are all sidelined for this clash.

Predicted Line-Up

  1. Tottenham, 4-2-3-1: Vicario, Spence, Gray, Danso, Udogie, Bervall, Bentancur, Johnson, Kulusevski, Son, Tel.

  2. Manchester City, 4-1-4-1: Ederson, Gvardiol, Ake, Khusanov, Lewis, Gonzalez, Doku, Foden, De Bruyne, Savinho, Marmoush.

Suggested Bets

Our suggested bets for the Spurs vs Manchester City prediction are listed below, providing great options for those looking to bet on Premier League action.

  1. Manchester City (Win): They have the superior squad, but more so the fact that Spurs has been horribly inconsistent and lackluster against the bigger teams – we think City take this. 9/10 (1.9) with BetWinner

  2. Over 2.5 Goals: There is no denying that both of these two teams have exceptional attacking options. Having seen 103 goals scored by these two teams in this season alone, we are backing an open affair. 1/3 (1.33) with Stake

  3. Manchester City + Over 2.5 Goals: Back a combination with plenty of value. 13/10 (2.3) with Betway

Value Bets

  1. Both Teams to Score (Yes): Another betting option to capture the goalscoring abilities of these two teams could be this angle. Get on at  1/3 (1.33) with Betway

  2. Manchester City + BTTS (Yes): Another combination play, another opportunity for plenty of value to be realized. 18/10 (2.8) with 1xBet

  3. Heung-Min Son (Anytime Goalscorer): A player who always seems to find another gear for Spurs on the big stage – back him to find another big performance and get his name on the scoresheet.  27/20 (2.7) with Pinnacle

Prediction: Manchester City to Win

In truth, they probably don’t deserve this selection. However, with that being said, they boast an exceptional football side, an exceptional talent pool and an exceptional coach. They face a team who have their own struggles, but for the most part have failed to find any form of consistency.

Back City to claim all three points here.
