The Premier League is heating up as we enter the business end of the season and there is another mouth-watering clash to look forward to when Bournemouth travel to London to face West Ham United.

It was a tight clash the last time these two sides met back in December, as there was no separating them when they played out to a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium. Andoni Iraola has been impressive with his Cherries side who sit in the top half of the table.

It has been a turbulent time for the visitors, however, Graham Potter was recently appointed to steady the ship after a poor start to the season, and the Hammers are trying to put together some positive results as the season comes to an end.

Pre-Game Odds and Win Probability

  1. Home: 4/1 (5.00) – 20.0%

  2. Draw: 3/1 (4.00) – 25.0%

  3. Away: 8/11 (1.73) – 55.0%

West Ham vs. Bournemouth

  1. 16/12/24 – Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham

  2. 01/02/24 – West Ham 1-1 Bournemouth

  3. 12/08/23 – Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham

  4. 23/04/23 – Bournemouth 0-4 West Ham

  5. 24/10/22 – West Ham 2-0 Bournemouth

West Ham Current Form – LWWLD

Potter’s side have won twice, lost twice, and drawn once over their five previous games in the Premier League. It is form that has kept 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers at bay, though the Hammers do need more positive results to ensure they are not in danger come the end of May.

Key Players to watch

  • Jarrod Bowen: The England international has been the Irons’ best creative attacker. Bowen has seven goals and five assists in 25 Premier League games and is a key player for the Irons.
  • Mohammed Kudus: Kudus is one of the Hammers’ best players, and the 24-year-old needs to take more responsibility and add to his four goal contributions in the Premier League this season.
  • Aaron Wan-Bissaka: The former Manchester United star has reignited his career at West Ham. The right-back has been solid for his new club all season, featuring in 28 Premier League games and registering four goal contributions.

West Ham United Team News

Michail Antonio has a leg injury and Crysencio Summerville is out with a muscle issue. Niclas Fullkrug has a hamstring problem but other than that, Potter will have a fully fit squad to choose from for this crucial tie with Bournemouth.

Bournemouth Current Form – WLLDL

Iraola’s side have been one of the most in-form teams in the league but has stuttered over their last five games. Just one win in that time has been overshadowed by three losses and one draw, form that has seen them lose grip on the European places.

Key Players to watch

  • Justin Kluivert: The Dutch International forward has been one of the standout goal contributors for Bournemouth this season. The 25-year-old has 18 goal contributions in 28 Premier League appearances.
  • Antoine Semenyo: Another key figure for the Cherries this campaign has been Antoine Semenyo. Devastating on the counter, the winger is a nightmare for defenders to deal with. The Ghanaian is comfortable on both feet and can go on the inside and outside of his full-back.
  • Milos Kerkez: One of the rising stars in the league this season has been Milos Kerkez. The 21-year-old has put in impressive performances from left-back and has two goals and five assists to his name in the Premier League.

Bournemouth Team News

Following their FA Cup quarter-final exit at the hands of Manchester City, the Cherries will be without Enes Unal, who has a knee injury, while Luis Sinisterra has a hamstring issue. Other than that, Iraola will have a fully fit squad to choose from on Saturday.

Predicted Line-Ups

  1. West Ham (4-2-3-1): Areola, Todibo, Kilman, Cresswell, Emerson, Soucek, Irving, Wan-Bissaka, Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus

  2. Bournemouth (4-2-3-1): Arrizabalaga, Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez, Adams, Christie, Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo, Ouattara
