Wolves host Spurs in the Premier League as two sides who have had poor seasons to date clash on Sunday. Vitor Pereira’s side has managed to claw itself away from the relegation zone as of late, while Ange Postecoglou’s side is languishing in the bottom half of the table.

It was a thrilling encounter in the reverse fixture earlier in the season as these sides played out to a 2-2 draw, and a similar high-scoring game could be on the cards.

Wolves Current Form – WLDWW

Pereira has tried to steady the ship since arriving, and Wolves have created an upturn in form that is arguably one of the best in the league over their previous five games. Just a solitary loss among three wins and a draw has seen them put daylight between themselves and 18th-placed Ipswich Town.

Key Players to watch

  • Matheus Cunha: The Brazilian has been their best player this season. He has had some discipline issues, but even so, the 25-year-old has 17 goal contributions for his side.
  • Jorgen Strand Larsen: The Norwegian has hit the ground running in his first Premier League season. The tall, lanky striker has 12 goal contributions in his 28 league appearances for Wolves.
  • Rayan Ait-Nouri: Rayan Ait-Nouri is an exciting fullback and can play in a back five or in a flat back four. The Algerian is an intelligent player and has eight goal contributions for his Wolves side in the Premier League this season.

Wolves Team News

The Wolves’ side has been suffering with knee injuries. Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalajdzic, Yerson Mosquera, and Leon Chiwome are all out due to knee issues. Other than that, Pereira will have a fully fit side, including star-man Matheus Cunha who was suspended recently.

Tottenham Hotspur Current Form – WLDLL

Big Ange’s side has been rocked with injuries and inconsistent performances. It has been a season to forget for the London-based side, who sit languishing in the bottom half of the table. Just a solitary victory in their previous five has been overshadowed by three losses and a draw.

Key Players to watch

  • Pedro Porro: The Spanish defender has one of the most educated right foots in the Premier League. Porro has seven goal contributions this campaign in a struggling Spurs squad.
  • Archie Gray: The talented youngster has been one of Big Ange’s best performers in his debut season. The right-back has been tasked with slotting in at centre-back due to the injuries in the squad and has been sensational at the back.
  • Mathys Tel: The exciting French attacker is on loan from Bayern Munich and has made four appearances for Spurs since joining. He can quicken attacks and beat opponents by breezing past them.

Tottenham Team News

Spurs will be without defender Radu Dragusin who has a knee injury, Richarlison who is nursing a calf problem while Dejan Kulusevski (foot) and Kevin Danso (hamstring) are also out for the trip to Wolves.

Predicted Line-Ups

  1. Wolverhampton Wanderers: 3-4-2-1: Sa, Doherty, Dawson, Bueno, Semedo, Andre, Gomes, Ait-Nouri, Cunha, Guedes, Larsen

  2. Tottenham Hotspur (4-3-3): Kinsky, Porro, Romero, Gray, Davies, Sarr, Bentancur, Bissouma, Tel, Son, Solanke
