Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez is attracting attention from a host of rival Premier League clubs, SportsBoom sources can reveal.

The highly-rated 21-year-old Hungarian international has been a big hit at the Vitality Stadium ever since his £15.5million move from Dutch side Az July 2023.

And over the last two seasons the rising star has embellished his craft to earn plenty of interest from other top-flight clubs.

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is believed to be a big admirer and, with injury-prone left-back Luke Shaw expected to leave this summer, Kerkez could be the ideal replacement to strengthen the Red Devils’ leaky defence.

But it’s not just United who have expressed an interested in securing Kerkez’s signature, with Premier League leaders Liverpool also keen on the player, as well as some of Europe’s top clubs rumoured to be monitoring the player ahead of a potential move when the transfer window opens before the FIFA Club World Cup.

This season Kerkez has been a mainstay of manager Andoni Iraola’s first team, with the Cherries having impressed to leave themselves in a healthy tenth position in the top-flight.

Kerkez was sent-off twice last season in his debut Premier League campaign – once for club and once for country - but is understood to have matured in the past 12 months and scored his debut Premier League goal this season.

He netted in a 4-2 win over Wolves in late November and then in an impressive 4-1 romp over this season’s Carabao Cup winners Newcastle at St. Jame’s Park in mid-January.

BAGS OF PREMIER LEAGUE EXPERIENCE

Kerkez, who has won 23 caps for his country, has 57 Premier League appearances under his belt and has shown few struggles despite being flung into the bright lights of the Premier League at just 19.

It’s no wonder Cherries boss Iraola is a big fan, especially given the defender played a big role in helping the club achieve their highest (48) points tally last season.

They already have 44 points with seven games remaining, so that record looks set to beaten again.

And the club also have a mouthwatering FA Cup quarter-final clash with Manchester City to look forward to on Sunday at the Vitality Stadium, opponents who they beat 2-1 at home earlier in the season.

Kerkez has yet to win silverware in his career, but even of the Cherries can win the competition for the first time, his stock will only rise further and likely attract more interest in signing him.
