Dean Huijsen could leave Bournemouth after just one season, SportsBoom have been told.

The highly-rated teenager has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at the heart of the Cherries’ defence this term.

He joined the club from Italian giants Juventus last summer on a six-year deal for a fee that could rise above €18million with add-ons.

But his tenure at the Vitality Stadium could be short and sweet with a number of big clubs on high alert after news of a £50million release clause circulated.

HOT PROPERTY

It looks as though Huijsen is in control of his own destiny with a number of clubs knocking down Bournemouth's door to secure his services.

Newcastle and Liverpool, who faced off in the Carabao Cup final earlier this month, could be fighting it out once again to land the youngster's signature.

Eddie Howe is understood to be keen to bolster the options at the heart of the Magpies’ defence this summer.

And the Spaniard, who switched international allegiance from Netherlands to Spain and made his debut for the national side against his former nation during the ongoing international break, is high on Howe’s wish list.

But the Magpies’ boss would have to battle Chelsea and Liverpool to land the highly sought-after proposition.

The Blues are huge admirers of Huijsen and have regularly sent scouts to watch him this season.

It is understood League leaders Liverpool are open to making a move and are waiting to learn the fate of captain Virgil van Dijk, who is out of contract this summer.

BACK TO EUROPE?

But there is a chance Huijsen heads back abroad after just one season in England.

It is believed that the player has had his head turned after being linked with Real Madrid, where he could play alongside superstars Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe.

German giants Bayern Munich are also monitoring the teenager's progress.

Huijsen has impressed as part of Bournemouth’s incredible season under boss Andoni Iraola.

And Iraola is braced for a battle to keep his biggest stars on the south coast after a well above-par campaign.
