Exclusive: West Ham Keen on Evan Ferguson Permanent Deal Amid Summer Squad Revamp
West Ham are considering signing loan striker Evan Ferguson after a disappointing spell at Brighton. Graham Potter is keen to bring the Irish youngster to East London to freshen up the squad, with Danny Ings and Michail Antonio expected to leave. Ferguson has scored 13 goals for Brighton but has fallen down the pecking order under new boss Fabian Hurzelar. Potter has no option to buy clause but will sell if the price is right.

West Ham are considering making a move for loan striker Evan Ferguson this summer, according to SportsBoom sources.
The 20-year-old is yet to hit the heights expected of him since Graham Potter brought him to the club, on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, at the end of the winter transfer window.
But Potter is “really happy” with the Irish youngster since he arrived in East London despite limiting the striker to cameos off the bench thus far.
The Irish international has scored 13 league goals since joining the Seagulls in 2021, but has fallen down the pecking order under new boss Fabian Hürzeler.
He underwent ankle surgery which meant he started pre-season late and was then sidelined with another ankle niggle before making the move to West Ham.
A BIG ADMIRER
Potter is a big admirer of Ferguson, who he signed from Bohemians during his time at the Amex.
It is understood Potter is looking to freshen up his Hammers squad with young talent next season.
Ferguson fits the bill of the type of player he is looking to acquire as he tries to build for the future at the London Stadium.
There is no option to buy clause in the current loan deal, but it is believed Brighton will sell if the price is right.
A summer splurge, where West Ham spent £155million under then boss Julen Lopetegui, has failed to fill the deficiencies in an ageing squad.
Danny Ings, 32, and Michail Antonio, 34, are both expected to leave the club this summer once their respective contracts expire.
Ings was a £12million signing from Aston Villa in January 2023, but has scored just four league goals in 52 appearances for the Hammers — with the majority of his minutes coming off the bench.
Club hero Antonio, who is taking “baby steps” in his bid to get back playing, has been sidelined since a serious car crash earlier this season and is not expected to play for the club again as Potters turns to fresh faces.
