A $3.75 million prize purse is in the offing at the LA Championship, as well as 500 points in the Race to CME Globe, and Angela Yin currently heads that leaderboard. Hannah Green, meanwhile, is targeting a three-peat after her wins at the LA Championship in 2023 and 2024, but remember, this event has only been around since 2018.
But how will things unfold? Apart from our customary golf tournament predictions, we’ve provided some golf betting odds, including suggested bets, for you to ponder over ahead of the first round.

Contender News
Golf bookmakers who have their finger on the pulse will usually whip up some excitement for the top players ahead of any tournament.
We have given the lowdown on the form of the three players mentioned above heading into the LA Championship.
Jeeno Thitikul
Second in the world rankings, Jeeno Thitikul’s stock continues to rise on the LPGA Tour, and she has been a model of consistency, chalking up four top-10s from five starts this season.
Following a two-week break after the T-Mobile Match Play where she finished T5, Thitikul is a player that continues to impress us.
Judging by her stats, there are no obvious worrying signs with her game. The 16th hole, for example, at the Wiltshire Country Club is a reachable par-5, playing at 464 yards. Since 2021, par-5s on the LPGA Tour playing under 474 yards have a scoring average of 4.47, and Thitikul will look to capitalise. She’s one to pay close attention to.
Nelly Korda
With 15 career wins under her belt, and over $13 million racked up prize money, Nelly Korda is the undisputed queen of the LPGA Tour.
Of the leading stats, Korda is ranking first for scoring average per round, and she is second for driving.
Korda has been a bit quieter in her past couple of outings, finishing inside the top 30. She’s the sort of player that, once she gets a roll and gets on the birdie trail, could be hard to reel in.
Angela Yin
A seasoned pro, Angela Yin, as mentioned, is currently leading the Race to CME Globe rankings.
With one win already under her belt this season at the Honda LPGA Thailand, Yin has the credentials and is well placed to end Hannah Green’s vice-like grip on the LA Championship title.
Yin is currently ranking first for bogey avoidance, and the Wiltshire Country Club, which is a par-71, has a few teasing holes on the front nine. If Yin can tame these, she could be a serious contender.
Suggested Bets
We’ve delved into the best betting sites for golf, and selected a few suggested golf betting tips that could be worth latching onto before the first round.
Nelly Korda to win the LA Championship: Last year was a stunning season for Nelly Korda where she conquered all before. She may have been quiet in her past couple of events, but she has all the assets to win on home soil. With the Chevron Championship just around the corner which she will be defending, we think she could come good this week (11/1 with Betandyou).
Angela Yin to lead after the third round: Many golf bookmakers will have pre-tournament betting odds covering potential leaders after each round. Angela Yin has been a slow starter, but once she has got into her stride, she has picked up the pace going into the final round. For example, in her last three outings, she has averaged just under 64 in the third round which has been impressive. She could well catapult herself into contention by leading after the third round, and this could be worth tapping into (18/1 with 1xBet).
Hannah Green to finish in the top 10: Compared to 2023 when she lifted the LA Championship trophy, Hannah Green finished three shots better off last year en route to successfully defending the trophy. This event is very open, and it would be remiss to suggest that Green won’t be in the mix. Of course, the Australian won’t want to relinquish her title without a fight. While she might come up short this week, we think she could clinch a top-10 finish, and this special has some value attached to it. (24/1 with BetWinner)
Tournament Prediction: Nelly Korda to Win the LA Championship
The LA Championship should make for intriguing viewing, and the Wiltshire Country Club is the sort of course that can chew and spit you right back up if you don’t quite get things right, especially off the tee.
There are some risk-reward holes, such as the 16th, and having assessed all the angles leading into this event, the LA Championship is likely to be fiercely contested.
While Jeeno Thitikul and Angela Yin are likely to be thereabouts, we think Nelly Korda could well seize the initiative in the LA Championship and produce some stunning golf to delight the patrons.
With the Chevron Championship around the corner, this swing of the season is when Korda comes to the boil, and she will be eager to lay down a marker. For the LA Championship, we believe Korda will keep Thitikul and Yin at arm’s length and secure the title.
