Marvin Vettori News

Marvin Vettori comes into this fight with no reported injuries.

The Italian fighter is known for his relentless pace, iron chin, and grappling-heavy style. As a former title challenger, Vettori has consistently faced top-tier competition, making him one of the most battle-tested middleweights in the UFC. But, many fans label Vettori as boring because of his lack of knockouts.

Roman Dolidze News

Roman Dolidze has no reported injuries ahead of this fight.

In contrast to Vettori, the Georgian powerhouse is a dangerous striker with knockout power and underrated grappling skills. After suffering a close decision loss to Vettori in their first meeting, Dolidze is eager to prove he belongs among the elite.

Suggested Bets

  1. Fight to Go the Distance? Yes (8/15, odds via Betway)Marvin Vettori is the ultimate workhorse. There's really no other way to describe the Italian. He has a volume of striking, a high volume of wrestling and he's always pressuring his opponent. He also has a great chin. But, he lacks the killer instinct. So while Dolidze may have the power and striking advantage, it's difficult to see this fight finishing inside the distance.

  2. Roman Dolidze to Win (13/10, odds via Betway): With Vettori's track record of fighting high end middleweights, it could be understandable that he's the favourite. However, Roman Dolidze has been the more active fighter, and his two most recent losses were very close decisions. He is the man with all the momentum right now.

  3. Over 4.5 Rounds (4/9, odds via Betway): This line is heavily juiced, and it's easy to see why. Eight of the pairs' combined last ten fights have gone to the judges’ scorecards. Combining the overs in a multiple bet could be the way to go in this one.

Value Bets

  1. Roman Dolidze to Win on Points (3/1, odds via Betway): As mentioned earlier in the article, the Georgian is by far the more active fighter and he's the one trending up right now in his career. He'll want revenge against Vettori, who defeated him two years ago on points.

  2. Roman Dolidze to Win via KO/TKO or DQ (4/1, odds via Betway): Dolidze has brutal power in both hands, and although Vettori has proven his iron chin time and time again throughout his career, he has not fought in almost two years. Dolidze can take advantage of any rustiness the Italian may show.

  3. Under 4.5 Rounds (13/8, odds via Betway): If you are favouring a Dolidze stoppage win, then you may as well combine a bet builder of Dolidze KO/TKO or DQ and under 4.5 rounds, just to give a slight boost to the odds.

Prediction: Roman Dolidze to Win

Roman Dolidze will take revenge over Marvin Vettori on Saturday night. While Vettori is a proven fighter in the middleweight top ten, his last win came in March 2023. We just don't understand why the Italian is the favourite in this fight. Casuals could say “it's because Vettori won the first fight”, but that would be very short-sighted.

Dolidze barely lost to both Vettori and Imavov. He is trending in the right direction despite his age. He has the power and striking advantage in this one to claim victory either on points or inside the distance, but knocking out Vettori via a head shot will be tough.
