HOW IS THE SEASON SO FAR FOR BOTH TEAMS?

Philadelphia 76ers

  • Record: 18-27
  • Home Form: 8-13
  • Road Form: 10-14

The Philadelphia 76ers home form (8-13) has been very inconsistent this season and they will be looking to fix that come Sunday night. The organization is 18-27 and their road form is 10-14.

Tyrese Maxey has been one of the standout performers for the Sixers, leading the stats in points per game with 27.1. What is more impressive is his form over the last 10 games where he averaged 31.8 points, 6.9 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.4 steaks and 3.2 three-pointers.

The Sixers need to make more of their home form to climb the table in the Eastern Conference.

Boston Celtics

  • Record: 32-15
  • Home Form: 15-9
  • Road Form: 17-6

The Boston Celtics have been one of the best teams this campaign and the organization is 32-15 and has an impressive record at home (15-9) while being well-travelled at the same time, 17-6 on the road.

The Celtics are second in the Eastern Conference and need to go on a run if they are to claw back leaders Cleveland Cavaliers who have been excellent so far.

Star forward Jayson Tatum has been in great form. Since the beginning of the year, he has averaged 23.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He is nursing a knee injury which makes his numbers that much more impressive.

VALUE BETS

  1. Tyrese Maxey: Over 15 points and 3 three-pointers

Our first valued bet is Tyrese Maxey to throw over 15 points and make 3 three-pointers in the game. The Sixers have been missing Joel Embiid and Paul George and Maxey has stepped up in their absence. He has an impressive record of scoring at least 30 points in 15 of his games this season.

  2. Jayson Tatum: Over 15 points and 5 rebounds

On the other side, Jayson Tatum will certainly give you value for your bets. The star forward has been nothing short of spectacular since the turn of the year and has the stats to back it up. An average of 23.9 points and 7.8 rebounds over the past month makes him a good pick here.

PREDICTION: BOSTON CELTICS TO WIN

We expect a tight affair at the Wells Fargo Centre, but the Celtics should edge this one. They have a better season average, 117.2, compared to 107.5 for the Sixers. The Cs are chasing down the first-placed Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference and should be too good for Philadelphia here.
