Siakam is a menace on the court, with his infectious never-say-die attitude rubbing off among his teammates. This season, he is leading the team with 20.7 points per game and 7.1 rebounds to, both better than his career averages.
  • Tyrese Haliburton: It is as simple as this, if Tyrese Haliburton plays at the All-NBA level of last season, the Pacers are a very scary and dangerous team. This season, his form has at times been below par, but in their recent games, he is finally showing glimpses of his superstar potential. Haliburton is a walking double-double every night when he graces the court.
  • Myles Turner: Myles Turner has been ever-present for the Pacers since his rookie season. Turner is the team’s defensive anchor with his elite shot blocking ability, a boost for Indiana. The front office led by general manger Nico Harrison have been public enemy number one due to their decision to cut ties with their franchise superstar, Luka Dončić. As it stands, the Lakers won the deal since it has catapulted them to third place in the Western Conference standings.

On paper, the Mavericks boast one of the most impressive staring units, capable of dominating on both ends of the floor but as things stand, they will not be able to take the court this season as a result of injuries.

The Mavericks are still outside the automatic playoff places, but a play in spot is within their grasp. However, it is safe to say that this is a dead season to them.

  • Klay Thompson: Klay Thompson has struggled in some games this season but as it stands, he is Maverick’s best player, among those available. Klay is still one of the best shooters in the NBA and he will be expected to carry the offensive burden despite averaging 14.5 points per game.

  • Naji Marshall: Naji Marshall’s play has been consistent despite being in and out of the starting line up as replacement due to injuries incurred by the starters. Marshall is a capable scorer and he will be required to carry some of the scoring responsibility for the Mavs.

Kyrie Irving’s season is over after suffering an ACL injury. Anthony Davis is expected to miss the game along with fellow centers Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II who are out due to a Grade 3 right MCL sprain and a right ankle stress fracture respectively.

P.J. Washington who suffered an ankle injury will be an absentee. Jaden Hardy, Kai Jones and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are also likely to miss this contest.
