It will be Jimmy Butler’s first return back to the Miami Heat, which he led twice to the NBA Finals. Butler will be keen to destroy his former team that blacklisted and banned him before his trade while brandishing him as a locker room cancer.

The Heat are involved in a savage playoff melee that has witnessed teams trade positions on the Eastern Conference standings. They have been average to say the least and a lengthy postseason run seems a little bit far-fetched. They are yet to sort out chemistry issues within the organization and the teams ahead of them are, frankly, better than them. They are ninth on the standings with a record of 29-38 and have recently lost seven games in a row.

On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors are one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA. They have been revitalized since the Butler trade and are playing some of the most entertaining and lethal basketball. The Warriors are in sixth place on the Western conference standings with a 39-28 record to show and are currently enjoying a seven-game winning streak. They are guaranteed to be a matchup nightmare for teams in the post-season, because they are one of the few teams to boast genuine championship experience.

This meeting will have extra zest as the franchises were part of a blockbuster trade with each other and pride, vengeance and bad blood will be aplenty. With so much at stake, fans looking to get in on the action can take advantage of a free signup bonus to place their bets on this high-stakes showdown.

The Miami Heat are in the midst of an awful run that has seen them lose seven games on a tow. The have had an average season that is quickly turning out to be a nightmare. They seem to have gotten worse after trading Jimmy Butler to the Warriors and the famous hard-nosed Heat culture appears to be a myth.

The team has been bombarded with injuries to key players thus affecting the chemistry within the organization. However, there have been some positives albeit minimal. Bam Adebayo has been anchoring the defense down low and providing decent points on offense while rookie Kel'el Ware has seamlessly slotted in as the starting center. Tyler Herro has taken his game to a new level and is the Heat’s go-to guy for buckets. This season, Herro got his first All-Star selection and is in contention for an All-NBA selection.

Andrew Wiggins will be required to replace Jimmy’s production, a challenging feat considering Butler was the leader of the franchise during his whole tenure in Miami and Wiggins has so far cut a disinterested figure whenever on the court.

If the Heat make the playoffs, they need more than luck to cause any upset to any of the top teams within the conference.

Key Players to Watch

  • Tyler Herro: Tyler Herro has been an outright baller this season. Since taking over as the team’s de facto point guard, his playmaking has massively improved. In addition, his three-point shooting percentage has skyrocketed, making him one of the most available clutch players in the NBA.
  • Bam Adebayo: Bam has finally shrugged off a shoulder injury that has been pestering him over the last couple of seasons. He is quietly balling and providing lockdown post-defense for the Miami Heat. He is crucial to the Heat and is the center piece of their resilient mentality and tenacity.
  • Andrew Wiggins: Andrew Wiggins has showed that he can offer quality offensive production despite being a capable defender over the years. However, the consistency has often been an issue. He will be motivated to turn up and punish the Warriors for trading him from their organization.

Miami Heat Team News

Alec Burks has been ruled out due to a back injury, while Nikola Jovic’s status for the rest of the season remains in question due to a fractured second metacarpal on his right hand.

  • Overall Record: 39-28
  • Home Record: 21-13
  • Away Record: 18-15

The Golden State Warriors have been on a tear since trading for elite two-way superstar Jimmy Butler. Jimmy has complimented Steph Curry’s game to much fanfare, as the Warriors offence and defense has become dynamic like never before. The duo has been great to watch and have meshed like peanut butter and jelly.

Jimmy Butler is happy and as is often the case, a happy Butler is bad news for the opposing teams in the NBA. He has brought valuable experience and leadership to the Warriors, something the Miami Heat had grown accustomed to over the years.

Due to Jimmy Butler being integrated into the Warriors system, Steve Kerr’s team can now slow down the pace after years of playing full-throttle fast-paced basketball and this has so far proved to be unstoppable.

Draymond Green has been a great veteran to the young talent on the roster and the team is finally catching a break from all the injuries that had affected them, with key players such as Jonathan Kuminga already back within the fold.

Quinten Post has been a revelation since becoming a key rotational piece for the team, while Buddy Hield has finally found a stable, defined role within the team and he is thriving.

This game will be one to watch as the Warriors anticipate a deep playoff run with a potential NBA Finals berth within their grasp.

Key Players to Watch

  • Steph Curry: Steph Curry has been on fire in recent weeks, demonstrating why he is still the face of the league and one of the best players in the world. Steph can change a game at any moment with his ability to rain threes from an unlimited range, a menace for the opposing teams.
  • Jimmy Butler: Jimmy Butler has slotted into the starting unit like a duck to water. His perimeter defense has elevated the Warriors and his shot-making has offered the team another approach to dominating teams. Jimmy will be out for blood against his former employers, who ran him out of town unceremoniously.
  • Draymond Green: Draymond Green is the emotional leader of the Warriors. On his day, he is a nuisance to opposing teams with his defensive tenacity and IQ. Green is also the playmaker on this team. He plays selfless, with his stats toned down but his value to the team can’t be understated. His duel with Bam Adebayo is sure to be entertaining and temperamental.

Golden State Warriors Team News

The Warriors have a clean bill of health for this meeting, with Brandin Podziemski expected to be available after recovering from his back injury.

Value Bets

  1. Jimmy Butler – To Score Over 20 Points and 5 Assists: Jimmy is out for vengeance after the Miami Heat dragged his name through the mud before being traded to the Warriors. Therefore, he will be motivated to assert his dominance to the Heat, hence he will be on a scoring rampage

  2. Steph Curry – To Score Over 25 Points: Steph has been on a tier in recent weeks and is rejuvenated by the possibility of winning another NBA Championship title, which has been possible by the acquisition of Butler. Therefore, his scoring game is expected to be on outburst as usual, making this achievement an obvious outcome.
