Head-to-Head Record

The Miami Heat have won three in a row against the Philadelphia 76ers and remain undefeated this 2024/25 NBA season. The Florida-based team have produced comfortable wins in each of their three games. Despite this success, the fixture is very closely contested overall, as the Heat have won 74 out of 141 regular season games dating back to 1989. The 76ers have won 67 themselves, but only three from their last ten games.

How is the season so far for both teams?

Miami Heat

  • Record: 35-41
  • Home Form: 18-19
  • Road Form: 16-22

The immediate repercussions of the Miami Heat losing Jimmy Butler after the February trade deadline were imminent. The organization looked down and out but has forged together an impressive winning streak of six games in a row, guaranteeing themselves a play-in spot at the very least. The Heat will no doubt want to maintain this winning streak into the postseason, where pressure is at its utmost.

Tyler Herro is posting his best numbers in a Heat jersey this season, as the 25-year-old has now elevated his game to a whole new level, particularly on the offensive side. He is averaging 23.7 points per game, in addition to 5.6 assists, numbers of which are career-best numbers. Herro’s confidence is at its highest, and he will be one to look out for in this clash with the 76ers.

Having only missed two games all season, the Heat’s Bam Adebayo is ever-present in the starting five roster. He could produce the most games he has ever played in the regular season, and his importance cannot be overstated. He is averaging 17.7 points, which isn’t his best area, but is averaging 9.7 rebounds and a career-high of 4.3 assists, showcasing his versatility on both sides of the court.

Philadelphia 76ers

  • Record: 23-53
  • Home Form: 12-25
  • Road Form: 11-28

The Philadelphia 76ers roster certainly has quality, but their season saw a drastic underperformance due to consistent injuries. As a result, the side is out of contention for the postseason and will now have to close the season out in the best way possible. The organization will use the offseason to rebuild ahead of the new season later in the calendar year.

Tyrese Maxey is an indispensable figure for the organization, posting a career-best of 26.3 points per game. These numbers are very impressive given the injury struggles the whole side has faced, and he is averaging 6.1 assists, too. The point guard is only 24 years of age but is displaying numbers that make him the most valuable player within the franchise.

After joining the roster from the Dallas Mavericks only a few months ago, the 76ers have extracted impressive numbers from Quentin Grimes. The 24-year-old shooting guard has been waiting for an opportunity his whole career to be a starter, and he is averaging an impressive 22 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game, valuing himself as an important figure.

Value Bets

  1. Tyler Herro: Over 20 Points and Over 5 Assists

Tyler Herro’s statistics against the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t the greatest, averaging 18.3 points and 4 assists from 18 separate matches. These numbers don’t match his seasonal averages, but we know he will elevate his game. He has averaged over 20 points in five of his last six games and produced at least five assists, so we expect him to play a crucial role in this encounter.

  2. Tyrese Maxey: Over 25 Points

Tyrese Maxey has far more flattering statistics on his side, averaging 22.3 points across 14 different games. We predict the point guard to post at least 25 points, though, considering that Maxey has posted 30 or more points in his last four performances. The point guard will play a crucial role if they were to cause an upset win over the Heat.

Prediction: Miami Heat to Win

SportsBoom concludes that the Miami Heat will win this encounter. The 76ers have lost nine games in a row at the time of writing, and the Heat have won six games in a row. Not only is the disparity in the current form our reason, but the Heat has comfortably won all previous games this season too.
