Seattle Seahawks vs. Chicago Bears Head-to-Head Record

The Seahawks and Bears have had their share of heated matchups, with some close calls and blowouts. The most recent drama? A 25-24 Bears win in 2021. Before that, Chicago pulled off a 24-17 victory in 2018. But Seattle's had its moments, too — remember that 26-0 domination in 2015? Overall, it's been a back-and-forth rivalry full of surprises, and you know when they meet again, it’s going to be a game worth watching.

Seattle Seahawks: Current Form

The Seahawks are walking a tightrope right now. Sitting at 8-7, they’ve got one shot to keep their playoff hopes alive — and well, this one’s a must-win. Sure, they’ve crushed it on the road this season (5-1 away), but that last game? Painful. A 27-24 heartbreaker against the Vikings where they couldn’t clutch up late.

Geno Smith had a game, throwing for 314 yards and 3 TDs. Plus, those two picks were brutal. The real headache, though? The running game was M.I.A. Kenneth Walker III barely got going with just 31 yards on 8 carries. Ouch.

Seattle’s offense is averaging 22.6 points per game (meh, 15th in the league), while their defense is giving up the same (13th in the league). Translation: they’ve got the tools but need to put it all together.

Can Pete Carroll’s squad shake off that loss and flex their 5-1 road record, or is this where the road ends?

Key Players to Watch

  • Geno Smith: The QB’s been solid this season, but it’s time for him to lead from the front. With his ability to sling the ball deep and keep things under control, Smith’s got to make the big plays when it matters most.
  • Kenneth Walker III: He’s the guy who makes the offense tick, but Walker’s been a little quiet recently. If he can find his rhythm, he could change the entire game and take some pressure off Geno.
  • Tariq Woolen: Woolen’s been a lockdown machine in the secondary. If he continues to ball out, expect him to be a difference-maker on defense, locking down top WRs and making clutch stops when Seattle needs it most.

It’s all or nothing now. Let’s see if the Seahawks can rise.

Away Team News

The Seattle Seahawks are officially in win-or-go-home mode. After a tough 27-24 loss to the Vikings, their playoff dreams are hanging by a thread. Now, they need to win out and hope the Rams lose to the Cardinals. “We just got to handle our part, which is win out,” linebacker Ernest Jones IV said. “Then, let the chips fall where they fall.” Classic underdog mentality, right?

Seattle showed some heart. Geno Smith found AJ Barner for a 4-yard TD to take the lead in the fourth, but a facemask penalty and a dagger 39-yard TD from Justin Jefferson to Sam Darnold flipped the script. A late pick by Smith sealed their fate, leaving the Seahawks with a mountain to climb in the final two games.

On the bright side, Jaxon Smith-Njigba continues to impress. He racked up 95 yards and a TD, crossing the 1,000-yard mark for the season. Smith said it best: “He’s a fighter. Got a lot of heart.” And hey, who doesn’t love a player with heart?

The bad news? The running game is still stuck in neutral. Just 59 yards on 15 carries, with Kenneth Walker III doing little more than limping off with an ankle injury. The Seahawks need some serious help to stay alive.

Chicago Bears: Current Form

The Bears are dragging their feet to the finish line this season. At 4-11, they’re not just out of playoff contention; they’re barely holding on. With five straight losses, it’s safe to say the Bears just want this season over already. Their most recent defeat — a 34-17 smackdown at the hands of the Lions.

Caleb Williams actually showed some life in that game, completing 26 of 40 passes for 334 yards and two TDs. Keenan Allen was a one-man highlight reel, catching nine passes for 141 yards and a score. But let’s be honest: when your defense gives up 34 points, it’s hard to stay competitive. The Bears are averaging just 18.9 points per game (26th in the league), while the defense is slightly better at 22.8 points allowed (14th overall).

With nothing left to play for but pride, the Bears need Caleb Williams to ball out. If he can bring that same energy and connect with Allen, there’s a chance they could salvage a shred of dignity in their final games.

Key Players to Watch

  • Caleb Williams: The rookie QB’s been sort of inconsistent but flashed his potential against Detroit. If he can string together another big game, it’ll give Chicago a glimpse of what the future might hold.
  • Keenan Allen: The veteran wideout’s still a problem for defenses. His ability to rack up yards and snag clutch catches makes him a key to any offensive success.
  • Jaquan Brisker: The Bears’ standout safety has been a bright spot on defense. If anyone can create turnovers and bring some energy, it’s Brisker.

This might be a lost season, but the Bears can still put up a fight. Let’s see if they’ve got any gas left in the tank.

Home Team News

Injury woes cloud the Chicago Bears' preparation for their crucial NFC North matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The offensive line is taking the brunt of the hits, with two key starters listed as questionable. Left tackle Braxton Jones, recovering from a concussion, and left guard Teven Jenkins (calf) may be game-time decisions. To make matters worse, backup center/guard Ryan Bates (concussion) has been ruled out.

Jones missed Monday’s game in Minnesota and sat out Wednesday’s practice, but returned to work out on Friday with no restrictions. Interim coach Thomas Brown gave a cautious update, saying, "As much as I can be [optimistic]. We’ll see how it goes though."

Jenkins was also limited in practice Friday, after missing the previous two sessions. “We’ll see how it goes tomorrow and also Sunday before the game,” Brown added.

On the defensive side, cornerback Jaylon Johnson is dealing with an illness, though Brown remains hopeful for his availability, stating, “I feel good about him playing on game day.” Defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. (knee) is also questionable after limited practice Friday.

The Bears are also facing a potential setback at running back. Travis Homer injured his hamstring in Friday’s session and is doubtful for Sunday’s game. On a brighter note, Roschon Johnson is set to return after missing two games due to a concussion, having practiced fully all week.

With several key pieces uncertain, the Bears' depth will be tested in this NFC North clash. Stay tuned for updates leading into game day.

Seahawks vs. Bears Value Bets

It’s crunch time, and the Seahawks (8-7) are rolling into Soldier Field with playoff dreams still alive. Meanwhile, the Bears (4-11) are just counting the days until this nightmare season is over. But oh well, chaos means opportunities for bettors. Let’s dive into the value picks for this matchup.

Value Bets

  1. Kenneth Walker III – Anytime TD Scorer: Yeah, Walker’s last game wasn’t exactly highlight-reel material (31 rushing yards on 8 carries). But against a Bears defense that gives up way too many chunk plays (22.8 PPG allowed), Walker feels primed to cash in. All it takes is one burst to the house.

  2. Under 43.5 Total Points: Both teams have been allergic to lighting up the scoreboard. Seattle ranks middle-of-the-pack offensively, while Chicago struggles to crack 20 points most weeks. Throw in two defenses that can hold their own, and this has low-scoring grindfest written all over it. The under’s already hit in 3 of Seattle’s last 5 games.

  3. Geno Smith – Over 1.5 Passing TDs: Smith’s season has been a rollercoaster, but he’s still dropping dimes when it matters (314 yards, 3 TDs last week). With the Bears' secondary looking more like a practice squad, expect Smith to cook.

The clock’s ticking, and the stakes are high. Jump on these bets before kickoff — you’ll thank us later.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Chicago Bears Top Scorers/players for both teams

Alright, this one’s for the playmakers. The Seahawks are clinging to playoff hopes at 8-7, while the Bears (4-11) are just begging for the season to end. But don’t let the records fool you: there’s still star power on both sides ready to steal the spotlight.

  1. Chicago Bears: Rookie QB Williams finally showed why he was hyped, even in a rough season. Against the Lions, Williams went off with 334 yards and two TDs, slinging dimes like it was a casual Sunday. His partner-in-crime? Keenan Allen, who absolutely cooked Detroit’s D with nine catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. The Bears are only putting up 18.9 points a game, so yeah, Williams and Allen need to bring that A-game again.

  2. Seattle Seahawks: On the flip side, Geno Smith is trying to keep Seattle’s postseason dreams alive. Despite a late pick that cost the game against the Vikings, Smith still threw for 314 yards and three TDs. And while Kenneth Walker III didn’t show up much last week (just 31 rushing yards), don’t count him out — he’s still their X-factor on the ground.

Prediction

The Seattle Seahawks hold a clear edge in this matchup, fueled by their playoff aspirations and a more balanced offense. While Geno Smith hasn’t been flawless, the Bears’ defense ranks just 14th and has struggled to contain rushing attacks, allowing 134.1 yards per game. This opens the door for Kenneth Walker III to bounce back, aiding Smith in stretching the field.

Chicago’s rookie QB Caleb Williams shows promise but lacks consistency, and the Bears’ O-line woes make life tougher. Expect Seattle to exploit mismatches and secure a win.
Predicted Final Score: Seahawks 27, Bears 20
