Jennings Cherishes 49ers' Super Bowl Run as Culmination of Team's Brotherhood
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings is ready to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in Super Bowl LVIII.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings is set to make his Super Bowl debut when the 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday, February 11. A standout player originally from Tennessee, Jennings recently reflected on what reaching the big game means to him in his young career when he chatted with Richard Graves in Las Vegas for SportsBoom ahead of the big game.
Brotherhood Fuels Jennings' Passion
When asked about playing in his first Super Bowl in just his second NFL season, Jennings emphasised the deep bonds he's formed with his teammates:
"It means everything. The things we sacrifice with these guys, man, they're like my brothers. It’s a family. And so man, it means everything to this family."
Clearly the brotherhood Jennings has found in the 49ers locker room fuels his passion for the game and desire to win.
"Push Me to Be Great": Jennings Inspired by 49ers Playmakers
Despite being a talent in his own right, Jennings is humbled by the elite play-makers around him like Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle. He explained how they bring out the best in him:
"You can just turn on the film and you can see it pretty clearly. Deebo and Kiddo, they're just amazing players. There are so many different players on this team that can just take over a game, any moment. They push me to be great."
Staying Ready for His Moment
With star receivers demanding attention, Jennings could easily get lost in the shuffle. But he stays prepared for whenever his number gets called:
"I don't even think about that. As long as we're winning, I really never even think about it...Whenever my number's called, I'm always ready. I like that part about the game."
Faithful Fans Provide Boost
Jennings also acknowledged the unwavering support of 49ers fans, who travel to away games in droves:
"Faithful to the Bay. It's everything it beholds. That's what the Faithful are. They come and make the games easier. Every away game feels like a home game."
Gratitude for the Opportunity
Reaching the Super Bowl stage just two seasons into his NFL career, Jennings expressed sincere gratitude for the chance to play in the big game. Come Sunday, he and the 49ers will give their all to reward Faithful fans with another championship.
Jauan Jennings will have his hands full not only with the ball, but that fierce Kansas City Chiefs defence on Sunday.
