1. Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions recorded an iconic 2024 regular season after managing an exceptional 15-2 record, the best in NFL, although they tied with the Kansas City Chiefs. They also ended the season as the NFC North division leaders, automatically pushing them to the number one seed in the NFC playoffs. 

The franchise dominated the league with an adequately-shaped offense that made explosive scores, given that they racked up 564 points. This is one of the highest record in the league’s history. Jahmyr Gibbs stood out for his landmark performance by featuring the most touchdowns (20) in NFL. 

Sadly, the Lion’s did not make it through the playoffs after being shut down by the Washington Commanders in an unexpected 45-31 loss, in the Divisional Round. The 2024 season will remain historic for the Lions since it showcased the team’s powerhouse offense. They also cemented their status quo as a fierce contender. 

2. Kansas City Chiefs

For the Kansas City Chiefs, the 2024 campaign was a testament to legendary performance, unyielding spirit, and excellent skill manipulation. They secured a stellar record of 15-2, in the regular season and went on to claim the top position in the AFC West. 

The unmatched expertise lf head coach Any Reid has reinforced a billboard-appearance of the Chiefs, making them a spectacle of raw athleticism and tactful brilliance. Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ quarterback consistently unleashed never-seen performances that deeply disoriented opponents. 

The 32-39 win against the Buffalo Bills stamped the Chiefs’ flair for success and their undeterred commitment to maintaining dominance in the NFL. The Chiefs will be making a third-streak Super Bowl appearance. If they emerge victorious over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, the Chiefs will record a historic three-peat that will not only earn them more respect and privilege in the league, but also establish a long-standing legacy of success. 

3. Buffalo Bills

The Bills’ determination and resilience was strongly exerted in the 2024 season, after they closed the regular season with an impressive 13-4 record, an AFC East title, and a No.2 seeded in the AFC. The postseason was a bumpy journey that featured a blend of hard-fought wins and scarce losses. The curtains closed when the franchise faced a piercing 32-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. 

The Bills will be nursing a heartbreak in the offseason, after failing to make their 11th Super Bowl appearance and ultimately achieve their long-awaited dream of boasting a Super Bowl victory. Nevertheless, they impressively invested their sweat, determination, resilience and tenacity in the 2024 season and left their fans optimistic for a greater unboxing in the 2025 season.

4. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have elevated their record to a remarkable level by establishing a 14-3 record in the regular season. They also secured hard-earned victory in the playoff run that saw them book a spot in Super Bowl LIX. 

The stewardship of head coach Nick Sirianni has proven authentic, as his leadership skills have facilitated the Eagles’ resilience and relentless determination. The Eagles has demonstrated persistence, despite encountering early-season struggles that did not deter them from clinching the NFC East top position.

The Eagles’ ability to sore higher was bolstered running back Saquon Barkley, who unleashed dynamic skills that nourished his team’s ground game. Offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland also deserves his flowers, for shaping a solid offensive front that amply delivered on explosive plays. 

The Eagles will clash with the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch that raises a lot of suspense and anticipation, Super Bowl LIX, which is bound to go down on February 10, 2028. The Eagles will be the deal-breakers on the Chiefs’ much-awaited three-peat, a legendary achievement and privilege that will be the first in NFL history. 

5. Minnesota Vikings

For the Minnesota Vikings, the 2024 NFL season has been a blend of triumphs and struggles but under the guidance of head coach Kevin O’Connell, the franchise has managed a regular season record of 14-3, which ties to the Eagles’. 

The defense line has been a life-saving machine for the team; it has consistently made takeaways in every game. The Vikings second-longest winning streak of nine games was made possible in this season, showcasing the team’s dedication and commitment to an iconic performance. 

Unfortunately, the postseason tested the Vikings’ consistency and resiliency by presenting a myriad of performance-related challenges. In the Wild Card round, the Los Angeles Rams made a ground-breaking 27-9 victory that abruptly ended the postseason journey for the Vikings. 

The Minnesota Vikings have set a strong foundation for the future and as the offseason sets in, the organization will most likely be making critical decisions that will set the pace for the 2024 season.

6. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay packers’ concluded the 2024 season with an 11-6 record that was a culmination of growth and perseverance. Theirs was a mixture of thrilling victories, dotted with momentous challenges that tested their resilience and determination. 

The Packers had a well-balanced offensive line that made tactical attacks, led by quarterback Jordan Love. The defense was equally influential in driving the team’s success, case in point being the 34-0 iconic victory against the New Orleans. The roaring dominance of the Packers pencilled in their defense identity and further catapulted them to the playoffs.

The success of the Green Bay Packers was not devoid of challenges, majorly in the form of narrow defeats against powerhouses like the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, and Minnesota Vikings. The Packers often succumbed to high-pressure encounters, while the untimely exit of Jordan love, due to injury, disoriented their offensive rhythm.

7. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens opened the 2024 season with an intimidating 27-20 loss to the Chiefs. However, they quickly raised from the fall and secured a streak of wins against major contenders such as the Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys. The team registered consistent performances, enabled by offensive prowess, as shown by the 30-point-per game threshold achieved in a number of games. 

The defense equally pulled the strings by commanding challenging victories over the Denver Broncos (41-10) and Buffalo Bills (35-10). In the postseason, the Ravens maintained their winning rhythm by overcoming the Pittsburg Steelers in the Wild Card Round, and secured a landslide 28-14 victory. They proceeded to the Divisional Round, where they were locked out by the Buffalo Bills in a narrow 27-10 loss. All through, the Ravens maintained spirited performances enriched with high-level skill and determination. 

The Ravens 2024 campaign is a reflection of strategic plays and despite the highs and lows, the team has undoubtedly established a strong foundation for the forthcoming season. The Ravens’ talented roster promises a vigorous and transformational return that will most likely lead to the realization of championship reality.

8. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburg Steelers experienced a season blended with a promising start, mid-season resilience, and late-season struggles. They managed a10-7 regular season record and a playoff berth for the second year in a row. 

In the beginning, the Steelers demonstrated high-paced performances that encompassed victories over the Denver Broncos, the Atlanta Falcons, and Los Angeles Chargers. They displayed tenacity and resilience in week 10 after commanding a close-range 28-27 victory over the Washington commanders. The Steelers led the league with 41 successful field goals, which represented 93.2% success rate, out of 44 attempts.

The Steelers began going downhill in mid-season after registering consecutive losses. However, it was not long before they bounced back by edging out much-needed victories over New York-based franchises, the Jets and Giants. At this point of the season, the Steelers were operating under immense pressure to avoid a losing season, especially after quarterback Russell Wilson suffered a calf injury. The Steelers made an early postseason exit after making a 28-14 loss to the Ravens, at the Wild Card round. 

9. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers maintained a transformative pattern in the 2024 NFL season, whereby under the new direction of head coach Jim Harbaugh, they finished with a 11-6 record. This was sheer improvement from the 5-12 2023 record. They also boasted a playoff berth, which rejuvenated the faith of their loyal fan based. 

The Chargers’ created a positive resume by maintain notable victories against the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos. Their performance was bolstered by a stable offense and a well-built defense. The team’s adaptability was one of their strengths and through strategic plays and resilience, the Chargers proceeded to the Wild Card Round. They faced-off the Houston Texans but fell thrown off a cliff by suffering an embarrassing 32-12 loss.

The Chargers’ postseason failure cannot erase significant takeaways pertaining to the team’s performance. For instance, they had a formidable defense that played a pivotal role in helping the team make a postseason appearance. Also, the informed leadership of Jim Harbaugh led to the Chargers’ remarkable growth and set the stage for future success. 

10. Denver Broncos

The 2024 NFL season presented an opportune moment for the Broncos to revive some of its landmark legacies. The 10-7 regular season record marked their first winning season, eight years down the line. Also, for the first time in nine years, since their 2015 Super Bowl victory, the Broncos secured a playoff berth. 

The Broncos pulled stunning victories that displayed their offensive prowess and defensive efficiency. Among them is the blinding 38-0 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs and the 38-6 win against the Atlanta Falcons. The Broncos playoff appearance led to a displeasing 31-7 fall that marked the end of their season. 

In this season, the Denver Broncos set a blueprint for future success by re-establishing iconic achievements that have been considerably sterile. The team is expected to enhance the pace they have set in this season by continually striving for success and their eventual return to championship.
