Rohit Sharma no doubt is one of the best batters to have played in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Mumbai Indians batter has been the face of the tournament for the last decade and is even touted as the ‘Legend’, of the league which speaks a lot about what he has achieved in the league over the years.

Rohit Sharma started his career in IPL with Deccan Chargers and his journey from being a young boy to the stalwart of the league has been nothing short of exceptional. From 2008 to 2010, the right-hander was part of the Chargers and played an instrumental role in the team winning the title in 2009.

Rohit Sharma made valuable contributions for the team down the order and apart from this he also chipped in with valiant wickets, bagging a hattrick as well. However, after that, he shifted bases to Mumbai Indians in 2011 and since then he has been an integral part of the team and his turnaround started from that year only.

While playing for Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma played under the guidance of great Sachin Tendulkar, Sanath Jayasuriya, Ricky Ponting. His career shaped up pretty well after that and his being rated as high as the aforementioned greats, shows his staggering rise in the game of cricket. He no doubt is one of the main reasons why Mumbai Indians have a huge fan base all over the world.
