Heralded as the "UEFA Champions League of MMA," the €1 million Tipsport Gamechanger tournament made its UK debut at OKTAGON 56 in Birmingham's Resorts World Arena. Birmingham's own Akonne Wanliss stepped into the spotlight to face Swedish knockout artist Sahil Siraj in a colossal opening round grudge match.

Wanliss, affectionately nicknamed "Jedi," emerged as a rising British star, boasting a unique blend of talents as a former stripper turned fighter. With an impeccable record of 7 wins, all before the limit, comprising 4 KO's and 3 submissions, including bouts in Bellator, the Million Dollar Pyramid presented an opportunity to showcase his prowess.

Opposing Wanliss stood Sahil Siraj, Sweden's #1 lightweight, known for his cold-blooded Nordic demeanour and devastating knockout power. With 8 first-round victories, including two within 30 seconds, Siraj earned the moniker "The Knockout Prince," flaunting an impressive stand-up record in K1 and Muay Thai.

The encounter began with Siraj asserting dominance, landing six significant strikes in a rapid succession of blows. However, it was Wanliss who demonstrated superior determination, stunning Siraj with a swift left hook that sent him crashing to the canvas after a mere 48 seconds.
